One of my all time favorite memories was from Strasburg PA. Sitting roadside waiting for an evening train to get in photography range and hearing the clip clop of an approaching buggy. The fringed surrey was all spit and polished to its finest decorum and the young gentleman driving was as spiffed as spiffed could get completely striving to be the best donned of those out sparking their sweeties that evening. His regalia was all bright green and gloss black and his horses harnesses were as equally shiny. Black hat and nicely trimmed beard made for a spectacle worth watching. I so wanted to get a picture but acquiesced to their preference of not wanting their pictures taken. I will always remeber that young man and his big night.
