Drove down to ground zero a week after it happened around 3 am. Hung around, took pictures, pondered for quite a while...

I was on a conference call at home that morning, someone said turn on the news. The leader of the call tryed to continue as he was at work and didn't have a TV. Finally he just said I'll mail this information out to you and hung up.

I was also on a conference call the day the Challenger exploded. I seldom do conference calls anymore.

I am still relatively pain free on both sides now. I’m on day 5 of switching from Fentanyl to Hydrocodone in order to wean off opiate pain killers. That has become the erratic part of my life. I was hoping this would be faster than it is.

Nights are the big challenge. Last night I only slept about 2 hours total - 30-45 minutes at a time. Whenever I would lie down I’d get this hebe geebee, creepy feeling and none of my muscles would relax. Then some would want to cause painful spasms.
Tonight I'll take extra so that I can sleep and concentrate on lower doses during the day.

Opiates, taken long term, are a Dr Jeykell and Mr Hyde type experience Please y'all, stay away from them if at all possible.

The US is safer without you taking conference calls. Thanks!

Those, the day JFK was shot and the OKC bombing are the 4 events that most of us can remember exactly where we were and what we were doing when we first heard the news. It's times like that that test our humanity. I'm so proud to be an American.

Yup, I missed it. Thanks, Moose! Can't wait to see y'all again, but probably not in AZ this winter. M. is tired of desert (but never of dessert!), so we are planning for the upper Gulf Coast & FL Panhandle. There be Mutants there too!

The Duchess looks fantastic, & I know you will enjoy your travels with her. Be safe, be healthy, be happy!

Cheerios!
