Next time, I'll bring that map & let those who want to put a mark where they are headed next. The dispersal pattern should be interesting.

Martin already posted a pic of our location at Ludington (Poncho's Pond ... thanks to the Miners' suggestion) yesterday, so I will post our lunch spot south of Charlevoix. Saw several of these easy pull-offs along that route, all bordering the lake.

I had campfire withdrawal symptoms, so built fires both nights. The first night was a one-match start. Last night it was sprinkling, but I'm a hard-headed camper, & decided to make fire anyhow. It was a 4-match start, but no Girl-Scout juice. And yes, I got a bit damp & had plenty of smoke to keep the skeeters at bay.

It was lovely, but almost too quiet! No mutants! Tonight I'ma gonna cook me a supper out there. Might not drop any of it into the coals, either, for a change.

Thanks again to all who made this GC memorable. For venue, for firewood & fire tending, for food & plates & tableware, for stories & for laughs galore.

Let's do this again! I'll help where I can. Attachment 220796Attachment 220797Attachment 220798Attachment 220800

OK I will start it:

1 Sleeping Bear National Park
2 Just In Time RV, Ithaca
3 Johnny Appleseed RV Ft Worth, Jeff & Marcia
4 Marshal IL, Ed & Jackie
5 Columbus - Belmont SP KY overlooking River traffic vs Hwy
6 Ann thinks we will make it home ??? Odds ???

Hope all Mutants doing as well

Well, we are officially the last ones to leave the GC (Carl pulled out before we did).

Got backed up to connect the trailer - here comes the rain. Putting the car on the trailer - heavier rain. Pulling out of the campground - rain stops. Figures.

Whoever gathered up all the little flags forgot mine so I grabbed it.

Campground is still standing despite all the mutant carousing...

Harrison MI tonight. Cold but no rain - yet.

I'm going to guess that you left a near empty campground!

Guessing the lights continued to work on the trailer! See you in Texas.

Still in the wanna stage

My problem is just not knowing.... IF we sell the house today, it will still be 3 months minimum before new one could be built and placed on site.... IF we dont sell it soon, then we are going to do some creative finangling.... lol... if we do sell it and get in, then travel to Texas MIGHT be doable, but that depends upon health, too.... plus once we do get the new house, then starts shopping, landscaping etc..... we sold almost everything, to include tvs,

So my gut instincts say to not get my hopes up on a GC in Texas, but try to maximize visits with the Mutants who come down to paradise....

i havent had any mosquitos, no noseeums, its hot, but we have coastal breezes.... when it cools off some, we will explore our state more....
Larry had one iron infusion and already feels so much better, next one on Wed

I miss each of you, and I hate missing any GC, but right now am enjoying my journey so very much......

Di and Richard, you’d would have until 8 am of the morning before your first reserved day to cancel without penalty and they don’t charge anything to your credit card until you check in. I can assure you that you'd have lots of help remembering. Hoping for a spot to be available next Spring is much more risky.
