Apparently the locks on my battery compartments are nothing more than standard cabinet locks - the ones at Lowes were a perfect match for my broken lock cam. I even had my choice of brass or chrome...$5 and 15 minute fix, wish they could all be that easy.

Saw the family for a bi tonight. DGD took a header on her Razor scooter, scratched up chin and sore ankle, hopping around on one leg. DGS had a sore knee from something, not quite sure what. DD just finished up a play at the Childrens Museum (she's the costumer) and DSIL placed in top 10 at a game design competition. OK enough bragging (I don't get to do it often).

Heading to Cave City KY tomorrow for an overnight (already seen the cave), then nonstop through TN to northern AL. On the road again...

Uh oh! This is not good news for those of us going to AZ this winter. But how often are they correct in their forecasts?

Hey we are already out moseying in that there direction so don't be quoting that there old farmers almanac. Why should we believe it anyway; Tim's an old farmer and we don't hardly ever believe him. If it t'weren't for Mary we'd not believe him at all; fer sure fer sure.

Anyway day two of Full timing in and we are still talking to one another. Mizzie is cool with being on the road again and seems to love our first campground location. Today is moving day and we will head north about 100 miles to visit with friends at a new to us campground.

Wayne you are correct, the heat pump (discovered we had one) works really good until the ambient outside temperature drops to close to freezing then if pumps cold air at you. Had to get up and switch the unit to furnace. Warm and cozy after that. Will have to read the destruction manual to see if there are automatic settings I am missing.

With that high tech, high dollar unit i'll bet there is an automatic function. Keep both on and when the ambient falls to a certain set point or the differential is a set number of degrees the propane heater will come on. Once the temperature stabilizes at the set point the heat pump will take over.

Yep - I call reading the manual the SWAG principle. Better than the WAG principle that Tim uses.

Stopped for gas at a Pilot station today (also for lunch - they had an Arby's). While waiting in line for the pump (1 per island) an old guy with a pickup and a small trailer full of - well, something - pulled up in the no parking zone along the building curb in front of me. Had an Amish-looking guy with him. They sat there in front of me to eat their lunches. I had to pull up almost against them to get lined up with the pump. OK, gassed up, they moved, time to get lunch. I had staked out a good parking spot along the curb but had to go inside to get my gas receipt. When I came out, someone pulling a pop-up trailer had beat me to it. Oh well, took over most of a row of angle parking instead.

I always try to get an aerial view of potential gas stops to be sure I fit. This one looked a little bigger on the map. Give me 40 acres and I'll turn this rig around...

Y' never know Moose....the Farmers Almanac came to fame as a weather forcast staple because of a joke. Yup, in the 1st issue, to use up space on a page, they forcasted snow on the 4th of July in Indiana. Guess what, it did.

Had a grueling 98 mile move today. All the way to Batesville R.V. campground is Indiana. These long days are tough. Had to be up and out of old park by 11.

Lots of stuff to see in area. We'll be here for three days.

So far it's been warmer than Michigan. And less rain also.

Ooms to all, and safe travels.
