Beverly, are you going to be in a tent site again?

Well, no. I am going to be in my truck. I have no clue what amenities that I will need. They have no tent sites, or corresponding rates thereof.

Sure, that works. I've never really permanently mounted the WeBoost so I could just bring it wherever

And yes, unlimited is unlimited. I used 60+ gb on the last trip to Michigan. Love that thing...

BTW, if you haven't looked at the amenities, Take a Look

The rec hall is ours so karaoke, games, drinks, snacks whenever we want. There is a full kitchen so storing some items for daily consumption will be okay.

The fire pit is communal. If you look at the amenities page there is a picture of the fire pit. it is ringed by seating but I would suspect with our numbers some chairs will have to be brought in. Firewood is free.

Weather could dictate sightseeing plans.

Indoor sightseeing could be Nimitz Museum, Austin Capital building, LBJ Library, Natural Bridge Cavern (Dress accordingly - cool in the cave)

Rather than schedule daily trips I fell it is better if RVM's get together and go where their interests lay. Meet again in the evening and tell each other what the other group missed. :-)

My thoughts on Pot Luck dinners. Instead of 20 units all bringing a dish for meals how about the 1st 10 of the list bring food to one gathering and then the 2nd 10 on the list bring food for the second gathering.

How many pot luck dinners do we want? maybe and evening one and a breakfast one.

Thoughts, suggestions, recommendations - please.

Ouch! That's not good for tenters.

Wayne, we're only 30 amp, but we're 60 feet long with the trailer attached if that matters.

Heck, Moose, I got to wear that blue-eyed snake! He liked me, & not as dinner, either. He (Lucifer) & the others are all rescues, generally from folks who bought small snakes not realizing how big they would get.

Also, I passed on the jellied eels this time, & once again tried something new. This year it was a small whelk, freshly cooked & pulled gently from its shell. The seller told me they are best with vinegar & pepper. All I had was fresh sea air for seasoning, perfectly adequate.

Quick, while I'm here, Di, happy belated birthday and wishes for many more. Also commiserations on your ousting from the park. I hope that isn't a *next door* neighbor!

I have pics to post, but difficulty retrieving some of them, so will try in another post.

Cheers!

First, my apology for not posting recently. Selfishly, I've been having too good a time, & Martin has been much more faithful than I. Bad mutant, me.

Here are pics from Canterbury... part of Greyfriars Priory, stepdaughter Jo, street signs for fun, Martin thinking about lunch, & 2 views of a rather old(e) building.

More to come. It's almost 1:00 a.m. here, so not much more!Click image for larger version

In Whitstable there is a street artist whose work I've seen before. This is of Queen Elizabeth out walking her Corgis. Except notice that she isn't actually walking. Detail of one dog shows it is painted, not photographed.

The menu is from our lunch today in Whitstable. If you can enlarge it to read, notice all the unusual combinations on offer. My squash soup was delish, & Martin's cod was locally caught & very good. Our view was across the water to the Isle of Sheppy.

While we were eating, someone outside blowing up a bicycle tire actually blew it up. We all thought we'd been shot!

And finally, there has to be food on view, doesn't there? We are mutants, after all. Supper tonight at DSD & DSIL's was this gorgeous spread of Kent cheeses, artisan bread, crackers & deli meats, plus apples from the Brogdale Apple Festival. Who could go away hungry? I'm still full!

More pics another day. Tomorrow involves a Spitfire and the day after involves a trip by train into London & then another up to Scotland.

Cheers!Click image for larger version

Thanks for sharing the pics Sue! I very much enjoyed studying them from the country of my heritage. Incredible painting of QE, quite humorous.
I must get there one day!
That A380 is one heck of a bird BTW!
Keep the pics coming, can't wait for the next ones!
