It always amazes me when a project ( bridges in Ca after an earthquake) get done in half the time when offered a bonus for every day ahead of schedule

Thatís a lot like my 30 minute cardio workout the other day when the wasp nest in my deer stand got bumped!

Pass on the yoga go for the yogurt !

Hoping for a quick mend, donít overdo it, let it mend!

Now that I have sent out thousands of packages I can offer up an explanation.

Some batteries require a warning sticker which cannot be folded around corners, thus a large box must be used. Also the box must be sufficient size for the shipping label. Finally the software will suggest the box size, usually a couple sizes too large.
Thanks, Ed. I think I sussed that out the other day when I received a giant box containing a little packet of ten 1632 button cell batteries I had ordered to replace those in the TPMS sensors. Sure enough, there was that large warning label. I would have thought the only warning those batteries needed was against swallowing them!
Now, whilst we are talking about Amazon, around here, they appear to be developing a third delivery system in addition to UPS and USPS. It goes by the name of AMZL and the first two promised delivery times failed. One got turned over to UPS; the other has gotten delayed by two more days. The third, however, did arrive on time today and the tracking system was interesting in that they gave me a map, updated every 30 secs, showing the location of the van and how many stops he had to make before arriving at our place. It tracked him to the foot of our lane so I went out to meet him. There he was just turning in by the mail box. He was driving a new U Haul Transit van and told me that his boss had just got this gig from Amazon. At present, they only had two van's but were planning on expanding the business to forty. I wish them well.

Anyone coming this way we will be out of town for parts of January. Email me with intentions and I'll let you know if we will be here. We'll be staying at the military base near New Orleans for a spell.

In the Seattle area Amazon hires individuals to deliver packages in their own vehicles, sorta like Uber for packages. They have an app on their phone that tracks the packages and gives them directions. We never know if the car coming down the driveway is a friend or a delivery.

Irene and I will be just sitting heree watching the umpteen games of tiddly-winks er..... football, that will be enjoyed by 100s of millions again and then Sunday we will be joining an American friend at his place for a belated "Happy Turkey Day."
