Hey Tom, gotta update that sig. I looked at your pics and thought, wow that's a very clean, oh, I'd say '08 Mountain Aire.....(Newmar used that ceiling in the MA before moving it to the Essex, still to this day) then I saw your sig and thought, woah! I didn't know they used that ceiling in the Kountry Star too! Then I saw your exterior pic, that IS a Mountain Aire!
Nice coach there!

Slowly working our way to Yuma. Parked in Ft. Stockton for a couple of nights. Park has a nice little restaurant on the premises. Lots of roadrunner photos in the restaurant - don't look anything like the cartoon though...

Paula & Jim should be arriving Yuma sometime Wednesday, then comes the download in park model. Always fun that. Greeting friends and putting
house in order.

Give us a shoutout when you are in the area.

Darn! I thought you were draining the waste tanks.

Nice RV. Looked even better after I rotated the pictures.

Thanks Bill,

I did forget to update; done now, though.

Lots of new catching up to do. We just made the trade the day before Thanksgiving. We got to spend Thanksgiving day in the coach, but went back Friday to finish transferring the rest of our "stuff". (Monumental job).

Anyway, now comes all of the mods that make the "new to us" coach the rolling home we want it to be. Since we tend to be a little picky, that will take a while. Kinda reminds me of the old Johnny Mathis song........you know the one..."Twelfth of........"

So now we start shopping for TVs, couches, sinks..........I'm tired already, time for a nap.

Tom

Smile Welcome to the Mutants!!!

Welcome Lfejasp!!! We're only a couple of numbers ahead of you Linda and your DH. I guess we're a little late with our welcome or catching up in the writing but wanted to welcome you both. In the reading on the thread, I did not see or missed your DH's name mind sharing it? Another Marine who likes to meet others who have served along the way!

Watch out because pretty soon someone will be sending you the the clean up tools for the kitchen, clubhouse etc... I believe RVM#178 has them now.
Watch the road ahead of you as you travel westward.

Wayne, Thank you for posting the recipes on the thread> I'm sure I will probably enjoy them when I get of this special diet that I'm on right now. But they will be something to look forward to. Only a few more months to go!

Warm welcome to Lfejasp. Glad to have you aboard... I did miss seeing what it was that your coach doesn't have that you don't miss.. but maybe if I go back and reread a couple pages I'll find it...
I'm arty, and my ride is an old lady we call Honey, because, well, she is a Honey... an old one! She doesn't have a TV, bays, heated black tank, rope lights, lots of the newer type amenities, can't say I miss them! We are not full timers... but we try to get out and go to as many curiosities as possible for us... sometimes life gets in the way, but we are hoping to get to Texas this spring for the one there! Spousal unit doesn't retire for another year... so there's that too... Don't see full timing in my future... but that's ok! I am eager to get out camping/exploring when we can.

My DIL's BD is tomorrow. So, Earlene made a nice cake, from scratch. (The ladies will know what that is.) Cake came out of the oven and was perfect. (So you think you know where I'm going with this, eh?) She made a very nice creamy chocolate frosting. She decorate the cake and put our DIL's name on it. She wanted to spruce it up, so:

This is where it gets interesting. One of the sprucing up was to put sprinkles on the top. She got down the sprinkles bottle, opened the top and began shaking sprinkles on the top of the cake.

Can you picture this? There was no sprinkle lid, just an open jar. Just sit back and imagine.

Picture of cake forthcoming.

I'm not able to show the counter tops or kitchen floors - they have been cleaned up.
It's a good thing she wasn't doing her "back me into a spot" dance.

We would have had to have a cleaning service come in.
