That's because they are sitting out in the middle of a desert, sitting on an upside-down 5 gallon pail with an antiquated computer, and a sat phone that sounds terrible and answer it as "Tech Support, my name is #$(%^6^" or some other name you cannot understand. They also have a boom type microphone about 12 inches from their mouth.

Well...... Di, Tim, Dobe, and Wayne, you've about summed it up!
The only thing I can add is; the bozo out in the desert can't understand me either!!

Well good morning all! It took me most all night to ketchup, but here I am, at almost 4am, having done marathon mutating. It was just like a book you don't want to put down.

Welcome, new mutants, ommms to those in need of them, & happy landings to all. Having just read 60+ posts, if I tried to be specific I'd Shirley leave someone out!

Y'all mind yer manners & language now, none a that s%#w talk er nuthin. And watch out fer that Spellcheck nonsense ... leads a body well astray atimes.

Di, we'd enjoy meeting your English neighbors sometime. Not to mention seeing you & your heart throb (intentional) again. Don't y'all go overdoing that hauling blocks around business! You need your backs in shape for other things, like going out to dinner & walking on the beach.

No PoP here of interest. There's cold white stuff all over the ground & the deck. Last year I had to make a s@#w angel before we left & darn near couldn't get up. Silly woman!

Friend sent me a pic of a road sign that says:

Drivers ignoring
winter conditions
may be subject to
natural selection

And that's all I have to say about that!

Cheers!
Sue

PS: Wayne -- borscht in the IP! It passes the "mm-mm" test.

Morning folks,

Being totally anal retentive, I can never remember the dates of such things as the Texas GC coming up in April, so I wonder if we can do as some other forums do and post "stickies" for these things.

At this point, we would like to know the dates. We have our reservations and made notes somewhere but can't remember where the notes are.............

Tom

Any meat you choose, Sir! Many variations, w/ & w/o meat. Google is your friend!

Martin noticed, too, & he approved anyway.

(Beef tongue in the sous vide right now getting ready for supper. The countdown is on!)

Sorry Sue, that won’t win any ugly Christmas sweater contests, but I LOVE the RVM theme!

That's what's called the northern Darwin theory in action. The southern aka Arkie version goes, "hold my beer, now watch this..."

Dave, next time you're up in Jerome, stop by the old High School Gym building and you'll find Tim's shop and you might find him or be able to reach out to him to meet him. He does some really neat stuff for people on tight budgets and old historic homes and buildings. Catch his DIY show on the DIY network if you have Directv or Dish in your rig>

We had a strange event happen here in the desert last night and this morning. This odd wet stuff fell from the sky for about 8 hours. It made for really nice sleeping. Now the garden is already watered, but I'm having to run the generator to bring the batteries back up to a decent charge level. Poor solar panels are clean, but useless.

It's still cloudy and cool today but the weather forecast is for the sun to return this afternoon. I thought I left this weather behind in Seattle.

Come on SUNSHINE! These clouds make me sleepy.
