Do we qualify ?

Hey flaggship1 or campdaven,

What a great thread. I shared the jest of this thread with my wife and she said, "we are definitely RVM's". Are there any more available RVM openings?

Qualifying Characteristics:
• Protect and grow the nest egg.
• Don't carry debt. You need the space for important things.
• Plan your escape and escape your plans. Make the dream happen, then wing it.
• Don't miss what ya ain't got. Be happy with ya have and to be on the road, your way.
• Take what ya think ya need and when ya figure out ya don't need it - get rid of it.
• Take care of what ya have.
• We also like to pay others to work. Will do small things but won’t wash and wax 33+ feet for instance. We're retired!
• Dave and I both owe our adventure to our DWs who enjoy laughing at us and keeping us in line.

We are all of these things except the RED part. Even though we are retired and FT, I still wash & wax our rig along with all the other MH stuff. Taking care of our MH is just a labor of love with me. It's in my DNA.

Does this disqualify us as RVM's?

In order for us to be RVM's, do I have to have my DNA removed?

Ha Wayne, can you smell the Stetson down your way? Wind is blowing here strong too!

Hey, don't let Marjoe in yet. He has not pass the two important questions to join. 1. what he doesn't have and doesn't miss and, 2. declaring that the journey is the destination.

Besides that - he's Army - oh! okay! that's alright.

Barb,
Dennis is still to far away but I'm sure that once he crosses the border I'll be able to distinguish the smell, and it's not Stetson.

I do smell Tim though - usual boot kicking smell.

Marjoe if you haven't read enough of the early thread then you might not realize there is a two part test to be awarded the coveted RVM#.

1) Name something your rig dosnt have that you don't miss.
2) Make the declaration that "The Journey is the Destination "

Upon completion your test will be scored and providing a passing grade is made, your number rewarded!

Pay no attention to Wayne, he spent to many years as a jarhead.

Winds down by now? Being in a storm like that in the RV is a bit like living in a mystery book, except you can't turn to the last page. Eh?

You must have a sniffer that puts blood hounds to shame.

I have only felt an earthquake once, in Oklahoma, but I thought it was wind rocking the coach. Then my friend inside her house called and asked if I felt it.

Being in bad winds feels like a lot of earthquakes, I’d imagine.

Shutdown?

Barb, you're there. If the government shuts down, how does that affect BLM lands like Quartzite? Does everyone camping there have to leave or the staff just locks the doors and doesn't come to work? Toilets? Trash pickup?

Whoops, Oh great...now we might be accused of cheating on the test. We're going to try to do a make up test now with extra answers so hopefully, we'll make the grade.
(I learned in the ARMY to go the 2nd and 3rd mile)

1) Name something your rig doesn't have that you don't miss
So our MH also doesn't have...and we don't ever need again or miss them
• 2,000sq. ft. of living space
• yard tools
• cable TV
• instant hot water
• anything glass
• granite counter tops
• 55" TV
• we don't have other places for people to sleep
• no permanent residence
• and...drum roll please......we don't have any idea where anything is anymore. We live out of plastic bins.

2) Make the declaration that "The Journey is the Destination"
OK here it goes...
Joanie & I do SOLEMNLY SWEAR that "The Journey IS the Destination".

We'll wait for the results that will be posted online.....

Well, that is about 50% correct. You may never need them again but "do you miss them."

I tend to ignore rocking RVs. Never know what Tim might be up to.

I mean, he might be doing jumpin' jacks or somptin.
