I'll have you know that they are safer than many USA made cars. The black swoop on Smarty is part of what is essentially a roll cage. She may be tiny, but she's tough! if you don’t believe me, read this - https://auto.howstuffworks.com/smart-car1.htm

I am working for the BLM. Business as usual, except... no one there to collect fees. Amenities still available. Rangers, camp hosts, crapper cops and such, are on vacation until further notice. Me too.

What I, the person with allergies would like to know, is what ever happened to man-sized Kleenex?

Welcome to the group Marjoa. I'm RVM5 from Indiana. We're about to shove off to Florida on Monday for 3+ months.

Beverly, call the CG in Texas and ask them how much it would cost to let you share the parking spaces at our rented cabin. Worth a try.

Thanks. I will try that, but when I asked them a similar question regarding such, they said they could not allow two vehicles, in the same spot, or “ They would have to do that with everyone.” I will try...

Here they have volunteers (with benefits) that watch the dump stations to make sure everyone using them, the water or dumpsters has a current permit to do so. You can buy the same services in town for $15-$25 depending on the size of your holding tanks. There are a lot of BLM areas around the LTVAs that allow free camping but there are no facilities and you have to move at least 25 miles away every 14 days.

The LTVAs have dump stations, fresh water and dumpsters but they charge $40 for a 14 day permit or $180 for the season (Sept 15- Apr 15) and you can stay as long as you like. The Arizona heat trims our stay here to about 5 months.

The volunteers have the permit fee waived and earn a token amount that works out to about 87 cents per hour.

Remember - Q stands for QUIRKY!

Is anyone going to the April GC without a toad or tow vehicle? Beverly could use your extra parking spot. Too bad they just don’t allow so many linear feet of vehicles. We only total 33 feet - shorter than most of your coaches.

Yeah!!!

Thanks guys. Well apparently we're gluttons for punishment. We thought we left this when we stopped working

Joanie was reading some of your replies and congrats, and said, now that we're officially inducted as RVM#181 what have you got us into Martin?

If you think some of these other rainbow riders are bad here, don't even start to mess with Joanie. She's a ton of fun and very witty, but street smart, tough and quick with the tongue. She speaks fluent sarcasm, and I've watched her chew up and spit out even the toughest troublemakers and delinquents. You could say Joanie is a modern day female Spartacus.

You have been warned.

As for me, I'm just lovable.

We're in RGV for the winter, then heading east then north, spending June thru late Sept. in Maine.

I loved that - fluent sarcasm. It's sometimes hard to find those peoples. Welcome again Marjoa.
