Wayne, did that concoction include crab shells, seaweed and the other unidentified stuff that we got in the Gumbo in NOLA? (and which you loved so much)

Send me your bank account number and we can discuss it.

Absolutely! It was not called for in the recipe but I bought some Texas Blue Crabs. I boiled them in the broth I was cooking in, then strained the broth, broke off all the little pieces and was left with big claws and big bodies. Easy to ladle out just the gumbo without crabs. Although my son did pick on a few crabs.

BTW, the original Earlene could not eat because it was to spicy hot. I followed the recipe to a "T." So, I added creamy peanut butter and toned it down so she could eat some.

So a suggestion is, if making something and it is to spicy add table spoon fulls of peanut butter to tone it down.

You know I often have to tone down my jelly sandwiches with a little PB.

So far... that's been a perk of attending a GC... we got ours at our very first GC in Arkansas where we rolled in to cheers from the Mutant crowd!

Well, a chilly, rainy day here in "sunny" Florida, so what to do? Take some macro shots of things...this is a 55 image focus merged, manually focused, un-cropped image of a one dollar coin.

For those who are thinking why so many images - the reason for so many images is when taking macro shots with a macro lens, it's often times impossible to get the entire image in focus. So one takes multiple images with the focus point in different positions on the image and then software mashes them all together to make one, in-focus image.

Click on it to make it bigger and you'll see how focused the entire coin is. With the original image, one can zoom in to see every tiny flaw in this beat up coin

Somebody chewed on its edge!

Amazing technology ... to one who doesn't use it. Thanks for explaining it a bit. I almost understand, I think.

Me thinks our tags are in Indiana. We're in Florida. We will travel straight to Texas.

Wayne,

My RVM nametag is still in good shape and surprisingly, I know where it is. Sena's sadly met with an unfortunate accidental encounter with monkey teeth. Is there any way you could make hers about 1/3 the size of ours? I could clip it to the back of her diaper cover. No lanyard required.
