Normally when I'm doing mechanic work it involves putting a rear end in a recliner. Today my son and eye pulled the front axle out of a 97 Jeep and rear end out of a 96 Jeep. No air ratchets involved. I'm tired and sore.

You don't need any wussy air ratchet, just some good penetrating oil and a long breaker bar...oh, and some clamps for the spring leaves unless they're coming out intact with the axles...then you need a floor jack on rollers. Gee, can you tell I used to work on cars without any assistants? Worked on a few axles and third members but never actually had to remove any complete assemblies...now, engines though...

Tim,
When you put it all back together how many parts were left over?

Cheater bar and a can of frozen penetrating oil was what we had. Oil would spray but no oil at least till it warmed up some. Laying on a frozen ground was the pits.

We were at a junk yard, while there we picked up lots of spare parts. This is my sons project in my shop.

No I actually had a good time. Couple of groups walked up and ask me about the best way to do something that I knew nothing about. Son walked over and was able to help one of them, the other he told them to go to YouTube. I guess I just have that look that I know something

We are close to needing something like that.

You "KIDS" have a great time & I hope you have many stories to share. I live vicariously through such...
It's a Victory 3. It has some age on it. 2 new batteries. 3 wheeler. Test run with it seemed to convince me that it would serve my present needs. New Victory 10's are 2500 - 3200 dollars. My used one was $275.

I'LL use it 3 - 4 times a winter to tour Disney World or large flea markets.

Well, the Relay for Life event to help fund cancer research is over. Exhausting but rewarding. Had 100 guests for lunch. Had 4 fun team games (6 teams of 4) to amuse the crowd. Bake sale was a huge success. Gathered together +- 2,700 dollars to hand over to Moffett Institute to combat cancer.

Our "in memory of" luminaries at dusk were a sobering reminder of friends and family that we have lost to this terrible disease.

We could do one of these in Texas with the right amount of spreading the news in the park. I'm sure that there's a cancer center somewhere nearby.

We are getting organized from the move and back to getting organized at the Park for summer and thinking of all of you and your travels. Went to winter carnival at Hoodoo ski yesterday had a blast but fear we never made it off the easy slopes. First time out in two years takes a while to get the rhythm back I guess. Love peeking in on you all but I don't seem to be as witty. Jim and Mom are doing great. No more mice, I think the smoke drove them to us. But the snow sent them all away and they didn't come back yeah they went home. Hope to see some of you again when your in the neighborhood. We still only charge 30 and 7 days for the price of 6. Love ya, Laurie & Jim & Mom

Good to hear from you Laurie. We don't have plans to be up in that area for the next couple of years but someday, lots we didn't do there!
