Just popping in to say howdy to some old friends! Kate & I have settled in the mountains of south central New Mexico and absolutely love it. (Our home sits at 7,125 ft elevation.) Sold our Tiffin Allegro Bus, but didn't want to give up the lifestyle entirely, so bought a little 5th wheel and big truck (2011 GMC Sierra HD diesel with 8' bed and 4x4. It does the job ).
April was a rough month for us as my beautiful, precious mom took sick with pneumonia and died. That same week, Kate's youngest sister died from complications of MS.
But life goes on and we look for the rainbows! Six grandkids keep us focused on the present. My younger son and his family may be moving from Michigan to New Mexico to be close to us. I'm just giddy about that possibility!!! Already collecting lumber and things to build a play fort for the kiddos!
Zorro says "Woof, woof!"
Mel (Kate says "Hi!")

Hey, youse! I've been wondering about you, so I'm double happy you dropped in!
Is this the cabin you already owned? It is gorgeous up there! Are you not camphosting any more, then?
I'm sorry to hear of your recent losses. It's hard, so very hard, to lose a beloved parent or sibling. My heart aches for both of you. Ommms!
Wish you could have made the TXGC at Johnson City last month. It was a blast. Dave brought his guitars & I had my uke along, plus spoons, of course. Y'all would have made a great addition to pickup music! We didn't plan well enough to do pickup, but Dave played for the assembled mob one evening.
I still have your recommendation for Palo Duro Canyon park on my bucket list & will eventually get there. Martin is liking the Gulf Coast these days, though, & we're already booked in at 2 places for next winter. Other mutants will be nearby.
Don't be strangers. You are missed! Grands come first, I know, but keep us in the mix too, willya?
C'n I come play in the play fort too?
Cheers!
PS: Woof back!

Mel and Kate, so sorry to hear of he family lose! Our deepest sympathies.
Happy to hear from you and happy you did not give up the RV Lifestyle completely. Just remember that it doesn't matter what you camp in you will have just as much fun. Had a 5th wheel before the MH and it was a hoot.
Might just pop in somewhere in that area one day.
Miya says Woof Woff back to Zorro.

You two sure live in a beautiful part of the world. We traveled trough your beautiful city and were hoping to make contact but we read about your mom and knew you wouldn't be there for a visit. We should be back in that part of the world next fall/winter/spring so please expect us to attempt a visit then. Mizzie is not sure of what to say to Zorro but I'm sure they will get well acquainted when they meet.
