Happy Anniversary to Tim & Mary. Amazing how it was ages ago & yet seems like just the other day, isn't it?

Martin's day is today & he has appreciated all the good wishes from here. We'll celebrate w/ a beef roast, Yorkshire Pudding (popovers), roast potatoes, & fresh asparagus. If we had some Brussels sprouts, it would be a classic English Sunday lunch.

We had good news yesterday about our 10 yo DGD, Lucy. She is now able to stand independently, with someone close by, & is using her walker more. We all feared she'd never walk! After all the surgeries & procedures, exams & therapies that child has been through, it's wonderful to see such progress. It was great birthday news for Martin.

I'm off to see the wizard... the one in my head who helps me magically whip up a Victoria sponge ... a layered cake w/ jam filling & powdered sugar topping. Some things a body just has to do!

Wonder how many candles a 7" diam. cake can support?

Cheers, all!

Wayne,

Those big water bombers out of Port Alberni are still on standby if needed.

Thanks guys for your warm wishes. I had a quiet day, dining on a rib roast followed by a portion of Victoria Sponge birthday cake cooked by my dear bride. Tempus does certainly fugit - DD told me yesterday that plans are afoot for them to revisit us in two years time to celebrate my 80th! I'll have to stay on the green side for that party!

Both Wayne and I concur.

Green, is definitely the better option to chose.

We've been a quiet bunch lately.

Abandoned Carol, Hershey and the MH on Thursday for the weekend and went to Indy for a hobby show (39th annual - I started it in 1981 and mostly ran it until I started traveling a few years ago). Spent 3 nights with DGD and family, got back here Sunday afternoon.

Green side it is! Ouch, I'm gonna be right behind you by just a few months. Never gave it a thought until you brought it up.
No more bangers for you.

Last trip out we needed our inside heat, provided by the AquaHot for the early morning dew. Zone 1 was not working so I made arrangements for the local guru of Aqua Hot, Rudy Legett to fix it today.

He got there at 12 p.m. and left at 3:30 p.m. After replacing 3 pumps, cleaning the plenum and installing a new nozzle I was $1007 poorer.

I love the Aqua Hot, but my pocket book yearns for the gas/electric fired 10 gallon heater.

So much for the SKI Mobile (SKI = Spending Kids Inheritance)

For anyone needing Aqua Hot services, Rudy is definitely the person to go to. If you are so inclined he will sit back and teach you how to do it. I'm inclined but my body doesn't twist and turn like that anymore.

Unpacking..... doing it slowly, but still takes time.... in between all the other regulat stuff like cooking, dogs, shopping, tending to my LVAD patient... sitting outside doing nothing.... yep...

Thats why I am quiet...

the moho is still turned upside down or so it looks like. There is still brokem glass both inside and out... but i got all of the food stuff up to the house...

that isnt priority, priorities are Larry, LitaBit, QTπ, son and his family, and me........ I think I am finally learning that I need time for me as well...

Right now I am having my furst cuppa.... sitting on the deck, and listening to nature... this morning already seen/heard the sand hill cranes, doves, my nesting ducks right below me, and of course the seagulls.....

Great niece has a long surgery this morning to reattach nerves in her arm,,, omms needed...so far the muscle and skin is staying viable.... pulse good...
