Haven't given any updates on my jockey training. Since the triple digits temps are gone and late in afternoon the pasture is in shade I've been riding Ole Bay ( GDs horse ). Not sure we'll be ready by horse racing season but we're making progress. Seems he's learned if he does good the fat man doesn't ride him as long. I also have improved, I can now mount the saddle from the ground. Don't have to use a stump anymore!
See you at the finish line, eventually.

I Googled it, partial info follows:
The locomotive is celebrating the 150th anniversary of the transcontinental railroad's completion, giving rail fans across the Southwest an opportunity to experience history.
No. 4014 left the Steam Shop in Cheyenne, Wyoming, on Friday for the "Great Race Across the Southwest," making brief whistle-stops in communities along its route through Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah and Wyoming.
Tuesday, November 12 stops
TexARKana, 100 Front Street, 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Hope, 100 E. Division, 1:45-2:15 p.m.
Prescott, 401 W. First, 3 p.m. November 12 to 9 a.m. November 13.
Wednesday, November 13 stops
Departs Prescott at 9 a.m.
Gurdon, Main Street, 9:45-10 a.m.
Arkadelphia, Walnut Street, 10:45-11 a.m.
Malvern, 200 E. First, 12-12:45 p.m.
Little Rock, 1400 W. Markham, 2-2:30 p.m.
North Little Rock, 1100 W. Fourth, 4 p.m. On display in North Little Rock 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, November 14. Departs at 8 a.m. Friday, November 15 for stops between North Little Rock and Van Buren.
With the exception of the North Little Rock stop, the Arkansas stops are for viewing only. In some cases, the Big Boy will be displayed behind a fence or other perimeter. It will not be available for tours or passenger excursions.
The North Little Rock stop is a “display day” which includes free access to the “Experience the Union Pacific Rail Car.” Special-edition Big Boy and Golden Spike souvenirs also are available for sale from the merchandise tent.

THE JOURNEY! I am definitely about the journey. I procrastinate so much that by the time the destination is in sight, it has changed. Then I don't stay long enough to call it more than a layover or pit stop. Every event with my kids just blows by while I hold on, glance at the calendar to find the next one, and play-by-ear how to get everyone where they need to be. I hope to be a better person tomorrow than I am today and to make a few people feel good along the way. Definitely a journey!
I am living in Aurora, Colorado with one man, between 2 and 5 kids, 2 dogs, and a Thor ACE.

Sorry, I knew it was Venison, oysters are slimy and go down smoothly.
Regarding Conway Twitty, he was 59 years old when he passed away. His last performance was in Branson, MO in 1993.
The impersonator we saw today was very good. He told me all that good stuff but if you want to know more I'll send you a paper weight that you can crack against your hard head until the information comes out.

Oh Timmy,
It's getting close to that time of year. You can hang this sign where you think it will do the most good.

Jumping off the topics for a few seconds:
Anyone else seeing a banner ad between the third and fourth posts on each page and a larger one at the bottom of the page? Don't recall seeing these before? I know you see ads inside the threads if you're just a guest but I'm logged in (obviously - I'm posting...).

Ah, Wayne,
I can assure my fellow RVMutants that TNC is excellent RVMutant material.
When she said that she wants hot water, she meant it sincerely - because she's been in HOT water with me all of her life.
I've rarely been advised where she's headed so I'm certain destination matters-not-at-all.
Her life's journey is strewn with ticker tape and empty bottles of wine. There is no doubt that she loves the journey.
Her Tervuren female (Tina, don't use the B word on this thread.) is Ginger, Ranger's littermate, and her male Gringo is Roy's littermate.
And yes, she is my daughter.
Tina and Charlie (TNC)

There was no dought that was Jne's daughter when it took her half a page post to tell us The Journey is the Destination! Then the picture certainly confirms it! Welcome!
