Or, sit Sena by the pile and let her throw rocks. How long would that take her to spread the pile.

Enjoy yourself young ones. Maybe one day we just might camp on your porch.

You know our abode is always open when we are there.
LOL, yea, I can just picture Sena spreading all those stones...not sure they'd wind up in the right place, but they'd be spread out.

And Papa Steves porch is a grand one! It's a great feature of their place.

Looking forward to seeing Papa Steve's abode along with Di and Larry's. If everything goes as planned it should be this winter.

Half loads... use a short handle shovel... easier for me... i have a garden cart rather than wheel barrow (tip over)...slow and steady... rather than push, I turn it around and pull behind my back/ think me the mule/. Bend at knees, not yer back... and no, it isnt easy... and get you some work gloves...

Will be getting another load this month,,, AFTER i get all the grasses planted.... this lot is just as hard as the Little Rock lot... but here we are on limestone.. just got back from buying myself a pick....

All of those white rocks are limestone that were on our lot....

I did a better job of shoveling this morning. I finally found a rhythm. I highly recommend the Gorilla dump cart for this nasty job.

Hereís the walkway to the west gate and the mandarin orange trees I planted.

Looks like a great job! Even your shadow was saluting it!
Might need to pack it some, maybe get Mr Round and The Big Lump to walk back and forth on it.

You guys remind me of the big garden we tried to have at the last house - couldn't keep up with the weeds for anything...guessing the new owners tore a lot of it out. Hope they left the hosta garden under the big pine tree, it didn't take as much maintenance.

Gentle rain here in SE Michigan tonight. Been in the lower 50's at night, supposed to warm up a little next week for a few days.

There was a Halloween party in the little shelter behind us this afternoon. Played some music (well, some of it probably was) in the early evening. Kids and adults in costumes.

There is a small airport across the lake from here. Small planes occasionally, a crop duster apparently practicing the other day (or just playing)...

There is also a railroad near the park entrance. I can see the trains go along the top of a hill at the park edge but they're not loud enough to be annoying. This morning there apparently was a steam train up there for some reason - I never saw it but could hear the whistle.

Di,

When I searched Amazon for"electric garden cart" I got the big brothers of yours, but lower on the page I found the item below. My friend Harvey is an ace of a welder. (The guy who painted Connieís roof for those of you who were here to help.) Too bad he wonít be in Yuma until December because heís building a house up in North Texas. I bet he could make this work on Smarty.

Di, your Happy Birthday present is almost as good as the waffle iron I got from my then husband, Sam, for our first Christmas. I donít eat waffles, but he loved them. I'm sure Larry has another surprise for you. Are you hearing me Larry?

Your place is really looking great! That's one nice thing about Florida - everything grows well there.
