Making progress
Just a few pictures to show you what Bob and I have been up to lately.
The rafters for the roof are now in place. I’m waiting for Lowe’s to get more metal roof panels in this week so we can finish it.
Smarty has been working hard helping flatten and compact the sand and gravel.
Here’s Bob doing what he does best.

I see you adopted the "Royal We" as Irene does.
The roof rafters now make so much more sense now that we've all seen the pops.

Yes, I’ll admit that my part has largely been acquisitions so far. I have been cleaning putty and gunk off the used windows and assembling storage shelves. I drag the pallet with Smarty to level out the driveway every few days.
Bob is the genius who designed and assembled the roof. I am quite positive it will be able to withstand hurricane force winds. I try to stay out of his way.

Repeat alert
This Florida gulf ecosystem is so amazing to me... I am really enjoying seeing everything....
Last weekend caught another crab on our seawall, son bought a crabtrap, for the 2 GS.... of course the 2 boys the next day grabbed the putrid chicken legs to use as bait.... peu what a horrid smell, had to get baking soda out to scrub hands.
This week had a bluebird land 5 feet from me,
Then have our 5 sand cranes that visit almost daily, then today had a different group of 4... they mate for life., and a few months ago I watched their mating dance. But this morning a group of 7 flew over me close enough to feel their movements. They are big birds.
Have seen 3 bald eagles flying close overhead, but this morning we counted 15 flying at one time..... awesome.
Then sitting by the water saw what we thought was a really long snake, until it climbed out on the deck across the canal...was a Anhinga, also called a snake bird....
Totally awesome to be living with my sweet veteran/DAV/retired army.... enjoying every hour that we get....
New home, and new state for me... elephant ears are blooming, geraniums are blooming. Love the tropical plants.
Have just about finished moving all of the truckloads of rocks and boulders, still doing some planting, still have some deck painting, but projects are getting done..... i am tired, but I am stronger than when I was young...
Larry is doing good... of course he is limited by how much he can do... along with the other age related issues, like arthritis, he gets very frustrated and depressed, but between the dogs and myself and the grands, we try to keep him upbeat....
Putting our rv up for sale soon, I would like to get a smaller one on a sprinter chassis that we can use for short trips.... but that is still being looked into.....
In the meantime, we love you mutants...

I have not heard any updates on the "Big Boy Engine 4014" since Barb posted.
I found out it is stopped in Marshall, TX.
As the unofficial, self appointed reporter in Malvern, AR, I will attempt to let everyone know about the scheduled appearance here at NOON CT Thursday (give or take a few hours)..
Stay tuned to this fantastic "Mutant" site for the latest..
