Regarding cortisone. When I had those shots they only lasted a few weeks. For 3 or 4 years now I get a Synvisc shot every 6 months. Just got one day before yesterday. Ask your doctor about Synvisc, oh, and it's not cheap if you have to pay and co-pay is high tiered. Great stuff.

Beware of cortisone shots. I had them in my back and gained 50# and that was after having gastric bypass surgery. I also had Synvisc shots in my knees. The first ones kept me comfortable for 9 months. The last set only 3 weeks. It works with the knee's cartilage. When it quit working so soon I knew it was time replacement surgery. It’s made from roosters combs.
