So, been busy and happy to have Dwayne and Shara staying nearby. Dwayne fixed the water leak in Beauty caused by some varmint. Luckly it was the feeder line going to the old outside kitchen snap on connector. He just removed the line and put in a straight piece to the water pump. He also fixed two small slide up windows. Used to be when trying to open them the top bar would pull off the window. Now I know how to fix it if it happens again. Not anything against Dwayne's fixin's but time will tell.
Also busy with military medical insurance trying to cancel one and go with the other. On the phone for about 3 hours today. Spent many more hours researching how to do it on-line. Dumb automatic phone systems don't make it easy to talk to a human being. One site had a chat line and that helped a lot.
Anyhow busier than Tim trying to escape a heard of deer, or toppling their stands on them.

I’m slllllooowwly getting better. Appetite is nil and food just doesn’t sound good to me . Dutifully doing my exercises and walking. Movement is getting easier and less painful. Mary Ann has been a wonderful nurse and slave driver. Lol.
Had to go shopping for smaller pants this week. I’m now into 48’s. Weight loss after this last surgery is setting at 28 lbs. Doctors want me to eat more so I heal better.
Thanx for the shout-out.

Poof! Connie has a roof!!
I know it’s hard to see because it’s so low pitched, but notice the shade the roof created on the south wall. The main purpose of the roof is to capture water and shade Connie.
Next comes gutters and IBC totes to store the water. I’m also going to lay a 40’x4” PVC pipe painted black up there as a solar water heater. The solar panels will also live up there when we’re here, but travel north with us for the summer.
Progress!

Use copper - more heat. You can coil copper to provide more surface area.

Careful Bob, that little imp is contagious. Ask me and handfuls of Tic Tacs how I know.

Barb and Bob, Do me a favor and check the temperature between the roof and the top of Connie. There might be one hell of a heat sink in there.

Sure Wayne! You're buying the copper, right? Like Bob said, i fear it would find wings and fly away once we headed north.

When we take Bob's truck into Yuma for lumber and such, Sena likes to sit on the console and flirt with Bob. He managed to ignore her and on the second trip she was playing with him. But she still gets upset if she thinks I’m giving him something. She doesn’t get to play outside when we’re working.

Hey, a chance to play with that remote heat gun I bought years ago. I'll bet that it’s cooler under there with the roofing reflecting the heat, but I kinda hope you’re right. That would make water heating easy. But it wouldn’t be good news for the indoor temperature.

It may be quite the inverse. Shoot away at various times throughout the day and see what happens. I have an idea that the water would absorb more heat in pipes that just leaving the space empty. Just keep accommodating me on this.
