Where in Tucson? We could meet you two and Barb & Bob in Gila Bend, about halfway between us. I can recommend a restaurant...

I'm good with that, but Bob will have to speak for himself.
Are you suggesting the Space Age restaurant?
The wind and rain were fierce last night! I parked Smarty under the carport and tied Connie’s door closed. While we were putting everything away the wind opened that 500# door all the way, smacking into Smarty. But Smarty, being plastic not metal, no damage was done.

Too cold to get out of a warm water bed
But the radiant floors make it bearable...Boko is down on the floor playing in a brown paper bag (the best toys are always free)...

Sena thinks so also. She also thinks the best toys come out of the trash can. How many homes have locks on the trash cans?

No locks indoors, but outdoors, I use bungie cords to keep the bears from opening the garbage can.

OK Carl exactly how far away from civilization do you live that bears raiding the trash are a problem?

This picture is a couple years old but it shows my house and the UConn Health Center that is directly across the street from me. I mean it's a bit rural in the sense that there are patches of woods here and there, but nothing like a forest. On the other side of that hospital is a bunch of additional woods so the wildlife has established paths I guess that they use to move about.
I've seen a bear walk across the street, down my front yard and then check out my garbage cans. Just yesterday (at night) coming home, a big deer was walking across my front yard and into the street. It looked quite annoyed I showed up.

Meet Jose, our new mascot. He likes to prowl the yard and walks amazingly fast. He's a pinacate beetle or stinkbug. After seeing him every day for a week I decided to name him.
He has an odd walking stance, with his rear stuck up in the air. One day he was standing on his head. After reading this link I understand why.

Let there be light! Connie took an all important step towards becoming a home today. The front door opening was cut out. Bob did a great job! She's no longer a cargo container.

Ohmms, please.
Bob's wife Linda, who is in Washington state, was admitted to the hospital last night. Being the weekend there is not yet a diagnosis, but the power of Mutant OHmms are needed.
