Merry & Happy all! Hope you've all had a lovely Christmas Day.

It's been a quiet day here in my hometown .... The friend I spin with on Wednesdays doesn't celebrate the holiday & invited any of our little group who wanted to, to come spin & knit as usual. It turned out I was the only one, & we had a good natter while spinning, plus some of her homemade elderberry brandy & some of my tiny mince tarts. Mm-hmmm!

Phone calls to kids & siblings (-in-law) completed the day. Lovely & great fun, even though we couldn't be together.

That's my story & I'm stickin to it.

And today is one of those 364 days and the one day I learned a couple years back is the worse day to travel on!!! One of the longest trips to FL I ever took because of the shopping for sales, returns, etc. that goes on. So that means I wait till Friday and then back to sunshine and warmth!!!

Hope everyone is staying safe in these crazy travel days and will do so myself on Friday!!!

Anyone had any experance with the schwintek slide out system? Son has one that won't retract. I've seen the YouTube videos on the trouble shooting so it looks like I'll be playing Rv tech today.

Best of luck Tim. That schwintek system was always failing on our previous Tuscany and was the prime reason for us trading it. It was never up to the job on the heavy slide out and Thor must have spent a mint on warranty work.

What model RV is it on? Is it the fixed track or floating track?
WGO and just about everyone else who used the Schwintek system on heavy slides has regretted it.
Myself and most likely Wayne have the updated floating track design, which seems to work so far.
There is a wrong way to run the slide also. If the motors get out of calibration with each other it will cause problems including a toasted motor.

I'm not!!! Just been busy building Connie. Yesterday we went to Yuma for supplies and followed the rain all the way home. We didn’t get wet, but the puddles were HUGE and DEEP. Smarty was a trooper and got us home safely.

I sure miss having Bob and his pickup here. I bought some 10’ PVC pipe and had to tie it on top of 8’8” Smarty. I guess it’s time to go free her from that burden. See y’all later today.

And he did, FIVE times!

Yep I finally answered, was burning up while trying on insulated overalls and each time the phone rang it was in my pants pocket underneath the overalls. Just in case anyone is guessing, I'm no longer a Large/Short, nor XL/Long. Who knew they had a half dozen different sizes.

I finally answered the phone when headed to the checkout. Actually did enjoy the visit.
