Hey don't go bad mouthing our favorite Marine. You know we only put up with you because of her. Glad you're up and about as we can quit being nice to you and get on with our normal lives.

Moose I think they should sue the doctors. That's the worst facelift I've ever seen. Oh well, we can just get him to wear that Unicorn head more!

Good thing the doctor is on retainer.

Like I wonder if that would take any encouragement.

That was one silliness that Irene and I would have loved to have seen first hand.

OK Wayne now its your turn....

I think Wayne is more of a Summer; that green just washes him out. Best wishes on the rehab, sir! Soon you'll be back to kickin' rear ends and taking names!

3 month checkup for Larry at Tampa General Hospital... HIS CLINIC is attached to the hospital.

he had a split in his main cord, in between his driveline and controller... so rather than rescue tape, they were able to replace it... kinda scary if you stop and think about it... had 2 LVAD nurse RNs change it, they each connected an end... because that is the power to his pump.... it started right back up.....

Then we went to Lazy Days..... since it is only 15 miles from TGH....

No Carl didnt make the rv show... too much for Larry to do.

not to buy, just to check out class C diesel sprinters... looking at size, space, etc... but pretty sure going with 24í... one that I will be comfy driving... the one we liked had a cool murphy bed.... so not yet, but in the thinking stages....

And yes it did get cold here, but not freezing, and today it was back up in mid 70ís...

Connie progress report

Howdy yíall,

Some of you have been pestering me for PoP. So here ya go. Sorry about making you stand on your head to see the first one.

In the first photo you can see most of the insulation is up and we are working on the ceiling insulation that has to be supported with poles until the glue dries. At the far back you can see the bedroom door and beyond that the bathroom door.

The second photo is of the first wash system for rain capture. The water comes through the gutters, then down the PVC downspout, thru the barrel where the dirt and sand are supposed to stay and then out into the storage tote. Below the barrel is the first of three 330 gallon IBC totes.

Each inch of rain should give us approximately 400 gallons of water with the current roof. We have the capacity to collect 1000 gallons, but since weíve connected it I doubt it will ever rain again.

Notice the beautiful Arizona sunset in the background.

The new propane heater arrived last week, but was the wrong model. The correct model should arrive Monday. Once we have heat I think the insulation will be easier to install because the glue is having trouble drying at these temperatures. Overnight it gets into the 30s - 40s. The heater will keep it above 55*.

In the meantime Bob and I are working on the passive solar water heater and other little things. You never realize how many different parts there are to a house until you start building one.

I'm still enjoying every day I spend working on it. I'll let Bob speak for himself. He is amazing! He can build or fix everything!

Wow Di! That must have been scary to watch them disconnect Larry's lifeline. I bet they practiced a bit before doing it. Did Larry feel his pump stop?

It wasnt as scary as knowing the line had a tear... and last September they had to change out his controller... same thing, had to disconnect.....

Both times they had him lying on the exam table... he said that he didnt feel it either time, but it is possible for them to get light headed....

I was right there, and have had to practice changing the controller, he has had to practice too... we have a backup just in case.... and with him having a heartmate 3, they actually will run about 15 minutes before total shut down... so we do have a window...

It really is amazing.... and our team in Tampa is the best... loved the ones in LR, but these... they are AWESOME....

Have met the Sheriff, fire chief, deputy fire chief, and personally know the paramedic at the fire house which is 1/2 mile from our house, small town with perks of big city...

Btw... your pop were not in your post...
