There was already about 250 gallons in the 2 tanks that I had already connected so I was afraid that they might overflow. So, I donned my raincoat and Gorton's fisherman's hat and went out to connect tank #3.

Gosh, it sure feels good when things work like you planned them! I have RVM Bob Caldwell to thank for getting the roof done, along with many, many other things. I can’t wait til the rain stops so I can see how much water we have ... in the desert no less. I’m so happy I’m doing back flips. [emoji23]

Here is what the system looks like.
Yep it's raining up here in Goodyear as well , Barb you sure have an impressive set up , my guess is that after last night's rain you should be pretty much full up ...

Thanks for the compliment, Jeff. I tried looking in the tanks this morning but it was too dark to tell how full it is. I did open the 3rd tank but discovered a leak in the connection so I had to shut it off again after about 10 minutes.

I need to make a dip stick so I can measure the water volume. Thankfully, I have some dry furring strips inside Connie. Now to do the math to figure out how many gallons per inch. And then back to buy more hardware.

I just wish the winds would calm down.

Good choice Bob.

I was helping a friend with a large house expansion years back in upper state NY. It was at the top of a very high hill and a stack of plywood came alive when some out of nowhere wind kicked up. Around a half dozen sheets of 4x8 plywood went sailing around the lot that day and we all ducked! It was a short sudden wind gust that went away as fast as it came in fortunately.

Carl,

Wind is the reason Bob and I store all sheet goods inside Connie.

You’re lucky nobody got hurt by those HUGE fliers! The worst part was probably having to carry all those heavy sheets back to their stack.

It appears this virus is real. Here's what I've learned, although it dosn't particularly attack the GI track it does require a lot of toilet paper. I deduct the reason is it's scaring the s--t out of people. Walmart shelves were empty this morning! Completely empty!

I'm skeptical of the use of the alcohol base hand cleaner. It has been readily available till now and AR went from no cases to 6 cases in 2 days, that's 2 days of high hand cleaner use. It's now joins the TP status of empty shelves! Is this stuff spreading it?

Schools closed, tournaments canceled, state government closed, it's getting serious.

So, anyone want to come to a GC in AR?

Let's get realistic here. If the seasonal flu was new, everybody would be reporting its numbers too. So how many people in Arkansas have had the flu this year? How many people in Arkansas died from the flu last year?

Is the coronavirus scary because it’s new, or because the news media is making it that way. If you look at the people who have died from the coronavirus most are over 70 years old and all have underlying medical conditions. Healthy people are recovering from this. You will probably recover if you get it.

Meanwhile everybody’s going to extreme measures to try to stop something that’s unstoppable. When will it end?

It is a pandemic because there is no immunity to it. It may be another many months before a preventative virus shot is developed. Could be sooner but I wouldn't bet on it.

Heck Tim, TP resources went to diminishing status several days ago around here. Guess Texans wipe more. I will say yours is bigger though.

The Houston rodeo and live stock show started March 3rd and was supposed to run for 20 days. Yesterday it was cancelled. Many of the vendors there make 1/2 of their yearly wages at that show.

All schools in Houston and surrounding areas are closed.

Yep, I think it is serious.

Not sure when or how it will end but let me relate some out of date comments. Upon spotting the empty shelves at Walmart I joked, guess we'll go back to the Sears catalog. This prompted a nearby 20 ish person we knew to reply, "A What ". So I explained and said you know, a book of thin paper like the Little Rock Phone Book. She hadn't seen one of those either. Mary laughed as we walked down the isle, not sure if it was at the kid or me!
