Ok, ok, since I cleared the land and built the house I knew where the power came in, I had to clear the right away for thr power company. I knew where the gas line came in, helped dig the ditch for the pipe. But the phone line was dropped as a temporary from neighbors pole until a line could be dropped from the power pole behind my house. While I was at work the phone company decided to just bury the temporary line and say that's good.

Besides, that's why the BIL was there. First words out of my mouth when we discovered the line was "is that line live". BIL replyed Hold my Tea, nope nope don't even feel a tingle!

Line finally was moved to my pole after neighbor up rooted a tree and pull the line up. His call to the company got it moved off his land!

Hey all...
So I got the unlucky load to deliver in New York this week, followed by Baltimore MD. Stayed outside and kept my distance from everyone. Thought maybe a travel update might be helpful.

No issues with fuel, truck stops remain open, not heard of any shortages. Rests Areas for the most part are open. Pennsylvania stops are barricaded, with the exception of Oasis on toll road.

Light traffic, few cars until you go through large city's, picks up some.

Have not been West or South yet...

Feel free to PM if I can help.

Hey great to hear from you Melvin (see FB post for explanation) you stay safe. It was over 30 years ago when my driving career took me to NY and I held my breath most of the time. I actually had never seen that many people before!

Dave, you captured me quite nicely.
BTW, a little birdie told me I was being dumped upon on Facebook.

Well, it all goes un-noticed by me since I don't do FB so keep on dumping.

The County is up to 136 cases of the Coronavirus. I don't think they counted the 83 positive cases at the nursing home about 1/4 mile away.

Now that Walmart has started limiting the number of folks in their stores it appears it's getting personal again. Shopping carts are being used to form cattle chutes with 6' distance markers. Only problem is as the chute zig zag back and forth they come less than 6' of each other. So as part of my caring mutant nature I've thought of ways to help.

Now you could dress like the picture Dave posted of Wayne and certainly that would keep most away from you but not everyone has a set of white wings so here is my more practical solution. Face covering, although will not stop the virus, will stop many other secondary bacterial contagions and allergens that are in full bloom in the south. Gloves are debatable as they too can become a transporter of the virus so opting for frequent hand washing or sanitizing for most is preferred. The final advice is one not seen on the news updates, carefully folding aluminum foil into a sail boat hat. This hat along with face mask and dark sunglasses should keep most other shoppers at the desired distance!

Now really, did you think I had something important to tell you?

Well put, Tim. Well, sorta!
You posted without a poke. Of anyone!
I think the Mutants should poll you on your pole project.
Di, thanks for advising Wayne to check this thread for pics of the future Sir Cumference attire.
Wayne, I did what Di said. But it’s downright nifty that I can FB poke you and you don’t care enough to mention it. Thanks!
So, to liven up the thread, here are my pics of our lauded and very famous outdoor kitchen.
Last night was baby back ribs, and brunch will be fried potatoes with whatever else we Mutate.

Dave you have displayed a very appropriate outdoor arrangement carefully placing the cooking area as well as the sitting area a good 6' apart. You never know what virus lies in breath of others, not even the Pobah Knows.

We’ve had good weather and lower temps for 3 days! Hence, the outdoor accouterments. Haven’t cooked outside since Tucson! Feels and tastes better!

I saw the picture here and I did comment. You need to read it again. Now, not being a member of FB (Oops! That's not true, I do have an account. Find me.) I do not partake of such nonsense as sharing information with friends you don't know!. I did say a little birdie told me about being "dumped" on and the little birdie didn't say it was one person with a picture. That I would not believe, one person!

I do hope and pray that you and Larry are safe and protected from all this virus nonsense.

It looks like we are headed home on Tuesday We have a secure strategy on dealing with gas stations and fast food drivetrus. We are driving straight thru. It’s about 14 hours.
