We have been busy putting in the new flooring. I cut the hole for the sink and faucet. Installed both. Turned in our 30 day notice and start full timing in June. We start packing into Kovu (1993 Jayco class C) tomorrow. I can't believe this day is finally here. Amanda and I are stoked.
Thinking about buying a gun. 2 females on the road alone should have protection right? Any thoughts? We're both military vets so we're very comfortable handling them. Just unsure about the rules of traveling with one.
That backsplash is Stellar. Great job
Good thing you didn't make it all the way to the campground this early baha. You would have been singing lonely....Im Mr lonely.... lol
Our family reunion in Ohio every year is August 20th. So we may only come from the 22-27 to Shipshawana(sp). But I can't wait to meet all of you.

There's a 'sticky' in the General Discussion forum (think that's where I saw it) about traveling with weapons. Might want to go over there for some information. Laws and requirements vary widely from state to state.
In other news,I called Shipshewana South to make reservations but got a recording and left my name & number. Hopefully they'll all back Friday. The RV park office here in Yuma is closed Friday, Saturday & Sunday - wonder if they are also.

Turn the correct way at Albuquerque and park in our driveway. Won't let you in the house unless you cover your entire head.

M.J., I have an LTC (License to Carry). I'm retired military and stay at many of the military campgrounds. They do not allow firearms on the facility. Therefore, when we travel on the road for 4 to 5 months during the summer I leave the firearms at home.
In all the years we have been traveling I have never felt the need to have one. Just saying, and it keeps life simple.
I know it is just like insurance. You don't need it until you need it. But....
Stay safe and looking forward to meeting y'all in Shipshewana. You can PM me and I'll send you a list of RVM's to avoid, like Dennis, Tim, Jeff, all the Dave's, and the ones to butter up to, like Irene, Mary, Marcia and all the Dave's spouses. They are good cooks.
