My first year having the orioles stay w/ us rather than just pass through, & it's rather exciting. It's all down to that apple jelly I put out, not having any grape on hand, plus clementine halves.
Cheers!

Began the long trek from Yuma back to Indiana today. Hooking up the trailer and loading the car went well considering I hadn't done it in 5 months..
Planned our first overnight stop at a Shell station outside of Gila Bend AZ. They have a small RV area out back and rates are reasonable. I guess I should have said they "had"...the lot eas cleaned bare, fenced in and a big sign announcing a new Pilot station soon to arrive. Oh well. Drive up the road a bit past a KOA (usually way out of my budget) and stopped in front of an abandoned building to have a sandwich for lunch. Fortunately the MH dash AC unit keeps the front of the coach reasonably cool despite the over 100-degree temperature outside. On to the next planned stop - High Chapparral park at Casa Grande (Eloy). This is a nice basic park but the utility connections are a little odd. The electrical and water are "siamesed" for any 2 adjacent spaces so one coach has them on the driver side and the other on the passenger side. Plus, the electrical pedestals are almost at one end of the space - we got all leveled only to find out my electrical cord is about a foot or so too short to reach. Adding the 30 to 50A dogbone made it reach except it was hanging in the air So...down off the jacks, back up a bit (need to keep the trailer out of the road so not too far back) and re-level. Sewer hookups are closer to the middle of the space, at least those don't appear to be shared... Anyway, all settled in for today and Tuesday (and the MH AC units are finally getting caught up with the 109 degree high today). Even had a tiny bit of rain in the late afternoon. Looking forward to a restful day Tuesday before the next leg of the trip.

We arrived in Michigan on Monday, and got settled quite nicely, so now begins the summer visiting with family and taking care of my Mom's house needs for the next coming winter, we can hardly wait to see our grand daughter and catching up with all her exploits. And before it's over time with both our sons and their others and my brother and sister and their others as well, I know it's going to be a fast three months.
Cheers ...!!!

All you travelin' folks are making us jealous. Have no fear though, we are fighting 3 things here. COVID19, Dumb protests and riots, and not looking forward to Christobal if it heads this way. If it does - we'll be going somewhere for at least a little while.
Follow up Dr Appointment on 1 July so have to be in town.
Shucks! (Did I spell that right?)

Absolutely Martin, but I can't edit it. It is what I meant. Peaceful protests are fine. It is the rioting and looting that is ridiculous as it does not serve a purpose but to instill more hate and discontent.
Some FYI
CNN
Agent Provocateur
I think the majority are peaceful demonstrators, and many of the demonstrations going on in other parts of the city are peaceful. The riots, I believe, are started by those "agent provocateurs." As CNN pointed out the come from everywhere and all kinds of people.
I just watched a couple videos and when it comes to the "riots," the followers are there just to grab the free stuff. Sucks! Small businesses suffer greatly.

Hey Papa Bull,
We're from Indianapolis but the campgrounds around there either aren't all that great or they're too expensive for us, so we'll be just outside of Anderson for a while then on the move again.

Yes, our town of Champaign got its dose of wreckers on Sunday. Authorities are looking for the numbskull who posted on FB a call for like- minded thugs to get kitted up and meet at Market St Mall at 3pm. Macy's was the first to get hit, followed by Kohl's, Best Buy and others. No bibles were used as props.

First I should mention that I don’t watch TV, haven’t for over 2 years now. I so enjoy the blissful ignorance that comes with not being exposed to network TV news and all the hype that comes with it. As a result I’m usually late finding out what’s going on in the world. Amazingly, the world and I have both survived and I’m much calmer.
When Wayne mentioned Christobal I thought he misspelled "crystal ball". Ok, that's not like Wayne, so I asked Google. Geez! It's way too early in the summer for tropical storms!!! Unless, of course, they will bring rain or cooler weather to southern Arizona. Not likely. Wayne and Earlene be ready to head north unless you want to risk a repeat of Citrus' fate.
I’m trying to get Connie ready to be alone for a few months. It won’t be easy to go off and leave her after all the work we've put into her this last 8 months. But it's just too dang hot to stay. It got to 107* today. Forecast says 111* tomorrow.
I'm still not sure where to go. Seattle is still a virus center so it looks like maybe the forest near Flagstaff for now. At 7,000’ the temperatures are much milder.
Y'all take care!
