Yeah, yeah, yeah - First steps first. You are 1250 miles further than Flagstaff. I got to get OK with everything I'm leaving here before I can go any farther.

I'm trying to get back to IA. Trying to guage when to take off, and get through these cities safely. I usually overnight at Meijer in Champaign. Think I'll call them and see what's going on around there.

When Wayne mentioned Christobal I thought he misspelled "crystal ball". Ok, that's not like Wayne, so I asked Google. Geez! It's way too early in the summer for tropical storms!!! Unless, of course, they will bring rain or cooler weather to southern Arizona. Not likely. Wayne and Earlene be ready to head north unless you want to risk a repeat of Citrus' fate.
I’m trying to get Connie ready to be alone for a few months. It won’t be easy to go off and leave her after all the work we've put into her this last 8 months. But it's just too dang hot to stay. It got to 107* today. Forecast says 111* tomorrow.
I'm still not sure where to go. Seattle is still a virus center so it looks like maybe the forest near Flagstaff for now. At 7,000’ the temperatures are much milder.
Y'all take care!
|
Oh, Barb! Flagstaff sounds wonderful! I know leaving Connie will be tough, w/ all you've been through together, but she'll be patient while you're finding more comfortable temps. Travel safe & send more pics!
Cheers!

When might that be? Meijer might not be your best bet, but you might consider a 20 mile detour to a quiet hilltop SE of town. Water & 50 amp, but no sewer. You & Martin could talk cars ... from 6' away!
We don't charge much.
Cheers!

Duce and all you travelers plan your stays. There appears to be more going on than just protest concerning civil rights. Organized destruction is hitting even the small towns with limited police protection. I like to overnight in parking lots but food stores and retail shops as well as malls are starting to be targets for vandalizing and looting. Stay safe.

Well we made it to our 2 month stay with the niece and nephew at the park motel complex they obtained. Nice place that will be phenomenal once their plans for it are complete. Now all we gotta do is get past the two week quarantine, and then we can get to work.
Can someone explain to me .... never mind I don't think there is a rational explanation for the goings on.
Outside to read for a while.

Pappa Steve and Mary Anne.
Irene and I would like to thank you for your trip guidance.
You are right the back roads and two laners are way more fun to travel.

Not me! I know who I am. But then again, it could have been me. Maybe Tim, he thinks highly of me.
