I think Arizona is trying to get rid of me! Itís cooler today, only 100į at 1 PM as opposed to 107į at 11 AM yesterday. BUT!!! The wind is about 40 mph coming out of the east, which is unusual, itís usually from the south or west this time of year. I had mesh tarps strung between Connie and Homer and Homer and some supports so Homer stayed shaded. The operative word is HAD, as they are no more. The wind was rocking poor Homer back-and-forth so bad that I had to go cut the cable ties that held the tarps in place. To do that I had to climb to the top of the RV - no small feat in this wind! Lily followed me outside and instantly retreated back inside. Some fearless beast she is.

I've decided to head north to find cooler weather. I still have some chores I must get done so it will be a few days.

It will be really hard to leave here emotionally. It also might be VERY hard to get Homer out to the road. Lily likes to dig under him to find cooler sand to nap on. Iím hoping the pieces of old carpet under there will keep Homer from digging his own holes.

Yíall keep your fingers crossed for me!

Our passports are still valid, but Martin will tell me that's a LOT of miles from IL. Not that he's wrong, of course, but maybe he needs an attitude adjustment?

I think we are 2200+ miles. That's a lot but we've done it before to Whidbey Is. WA.

Ya gotta convince the man, Wayne. He has to do the driving. I can only drive about an hour before becoming dangerously sleepy.

Maybe next summer. I can dream, eh?

Directions are very simple. I-90 west to Spokane, turn right on 395 and the right on Crowsnest Highway BC#3 three miles and you are there.

I think it will be a couple of years before the kids will be ready to host a GC.

Good directions. I'll Magic Marker them onto the inside of the windscreen so we don't lose them. Right?

Electra225, heads up: The Meijer gas station in Champaign has just been looted tonight, according to a friend who saw it as he drove past.

The offer of a quiet night in the country still stands! Let me know.

Many many thanks for the offer Sue. I'm still trying to figure things out....my time constraints are getting worse as I sit still. My properties in IA are out of control by now....and people awaiting my orders continuing to finish my RV park.
BTW.....Moose, that sounds like a really nice place there. Should be a fun project too!

Sue should be ready to drive long distances by them - like maybe 50 miles.

Bill, when is the completion of your park. We need a stopping place up that-a-way?
