Dennis,
I apologize for one "n"ing you of late just noticed you are also a two "N" person. We may be over t' your way when we head out for Penticton. Want to do that #6 circle route up past Les and Bonnie's place and take that ferry ride to Nakusp.

I will not try to translate the above, nor pretend to know where Moose intelligence does or does not make sense

I bought a 10 gauge shotgun and some bird shot shells today. Tomorrow I’m going to try some target practice. Would you believe that this is the first firearm I’ve ever owned. It took a powerful a lot of motivation to get me to buy one. But no coyote is going to get my baby girl. I asked at the shop if it was legal to shoot coyotes. They said I needed a hunting license to hunt them, but not one to protect myself or my family.

Something tells me I have an unwanted guest. No Lily didn’t do this even though she looks guilty in the photo. I also bought glue board traps today.

Well let me recommend sighting in your 10gauge one or two shots at a time.
10 gauge is like holding a cannon so don't make yourself sore and jumpy all in one day. Shoot a couple, rest your arm. Reality is when your shooting at a coyote you probably won't even feel the gun kick. Of course if a Moose walks by you can easily take it down too!
A real moose not Dennis! Just for clarity!

Oh, Lexi could do that. You should see the paper towel that I now hide in the back of the MKX.

Coyote/Dog story. One of our hunters,on the Gasline, shot during a deer hunt and when ask if he missed a deer he said he was shooting at a coyote, said he hit it but it went out into the woods. Later that day me and BIL drove by the spot the shooter said he killed the coyote and we sure enough found the dead coyote just inside the wood line. BIL happened to have an old dog collar in his side by side so when we returned to camp I walked over to the shooters camper and told him we saw the dead coyote, then I told him He was wearing this as I held up the dog collar!
We had him second guessing his shot for a little while!
