Do the beetles look anything like Jose? I saw him again on Wednesday night. For the rest of you - Jose is a black stink bug that became a regular visitor here last Fall and Winter. When you get close he tips his head down and his rear up getting ready to fire his stink if you get too close.

Bob, I’m glad you found some pets. Many of the lizards here have shorter tails. I suspect they were found by Lily.

OK...hold on a minute...Carl mentioned 2 cows...Dave S. said 4...and Tim said 12. Either there were some really short gestation periods during that move or Tim is practicing rustling...

What did Tim say when he saw the cows coming?
"Here come the cows."

What did the cows say when they saw Tim coming?
Nothing, good thing cows don't talk!

That would be the "Awe Shock," expression.

Tim and son were out hunting ducks one day and no matter what they did they could not get close enough to shoot the ducks. Tim said, "You see them cows over there! (All in Arkie accent) They be close enough to the ducks. We going to dress like cow and get close. You have the better eyesight so you be the head."

Next day they come out all dressed in a cow costume and start toward the ducks. The get closer and closer and Tim taps the son on the backside. The son says, "Shhhh! We are getting closer to the ducks!" Tim said, "The heck with the ducks, here comes the bull!"

Ain't no bull in that story! Eh Tim?

Never underestimate the strength of a determined woman! This is what Smarty and I did this morning - lifted 2 IBC totes to the top of 2 others. Of course we had some help- from a pulley and gambrel, some rope, some lumber, 2 ladders and a bungee cord.

Tomorrow a truck is bringing me 2,000 gallons of water. With 7 totes I have 2310 gallons capacity. I started with 3 totes and about 900 gallons of captured rainwater, but it hasn’t rained here since early March. The neighbors have warned me about monsoons that can bring heavy rain. Watch one happen here this week when the totes are already full.

Ok, so Tim rustled cows and I stacked 330 gallon totes. What did the rest of you do this weekend?

Good thing you used the proper bungee cord or those totes could have ended up in low earth orbit. Four more totes and you could qualify for funding as a water district.

Tying that all together into a complete system is going to get you a strong supply of water for your daily use. If the bottom two added units are tied into the other bottom units will they let the water flow from the one closest to Homer to the others fast enough for the delivery to go as quickly as they normally like.

You do do good work so I'm sure you've got it all figured. How is the front entrance screening working for sitting on the patio area of Connie?

Even under the shade it’s too dang hot to sit outside. It helps keep her cooler inside, though. Forecast high temperature today is 120*. Lily and I won’t be outside much more today.
