Uh, I wish. Sorry if I misled you Bob. I did find out why that cartridge in the faucet isnt working. There has to be a balanced amount of water coming thru both lines and I havent been brave enough to try my solar hot water experiment yet.
Our federal government has mandated that all shower faucets have features that prevent scalding for at least the last 20 years. I guess Delta has decided that freezing showers should be illegal also because I only have the cold water running in Connie and the shower locks up without water coming from both sides. I'm going to try removing a part inside the cartridge to see if I can get it to work.
The funny thing about that is by 6 pm the cold water coming from my black plastic wrapped tanks is warm enough to shower in. Ask Dennis and Irene about the cold water in the Oasis RV park where the water is stored in a black plastic above ground tank.
So maybe tomorrow Ill earn that gold star.

You could as a test, run cold water to both sides of the shower thingy, but then again why not just run the solar water heater trials we talked about? It will either work or not but you will never know if you don't just try.

Aw shucks Google did most of the work, I just figured out the right way to ask. The fun part of DIY for yourself is you can take stuff apart and nobody gets mad at you. I took a rotary dial telephone apart when I was about 10 and got into BIG trouble.

If plan A - taking a part out of the inside of the cartridge doesn’t work I'll turn the water on to the water heater. That’s plan B But plan B water is likely to be over 120* and there won’t be any cold water to cool it down.

Ok Bob, I’ll take that gold star now. Plan A worked! I now have running water to the shower that works with the existing faucet. And yes, it turns off as well, Dennis.
I'll play with y’all later. I've been up all night doing some research for a friend. (not an RVer). I'm going to take a nap while it’s still cool in Homer. Later gators!
