That patch of grass in the desert would most likely have to be someones irrigated front lawn. I send you a cake with a file in it .Ha Ha!

Lily loves to roll in grass so I bought 4 pieces of sod to put over Sena's grave. I had to move them as the little mesquite tree she's she's buried next to couldn’t take all the water that the grass needs.

I'm experimenting with a passive cooling idea. There will be 2 long runs of 4” PVC pipe that will be buried about 18” below the sod and end up opening into Connie from underneath. The water that the grass uses will keep the ground around the pipes cool, thus cooling the air that flows thru them.

Dennis tells me I’m wasting my time and materials and that it won’t work. I know that the floor in Homer is about 20* cooler when I pick up a wet pee pad every morning. Evaporative cooling works in the desert. If it ever cools off long enough for me to dig 50' of trench we'll see which of us is right.

Shower when you want.... do you really care?

I bought fake grass for my girls, they have some on my deck where they can potty on their own thanks to the pet door.... under it I have a tarp with a hose connection in the center, under the deck a hose carries it off the the tall grass beside our lot..... it works great....
Simple green makes a product that can be sprayed on the turf occasionally to clean it...

I think your ideas are exciting... love your ingenuity...

Does Larry use this too, or just pees off the edge?
Asking for a friend.

It's a good thing my coffee cup is on the desk when I'm reading some of these replies

I think their neighbors might notice Larry doing that...

Yeah, I learned long long ago that that was just a little boy thing that they never outgrow. That are awfully easy to entertain.
