Sue,
This may be a risky policy, but I find it easy to be closer than 6 feet to people I know and trust. I am certain that they wouldn’t be out of their bedrooms if they had any symptoms of anything contagious.
Now the stranger in the checkout line at Lowe’s - he gets 8 feet minimum. I know it has been suggested that some of this can be transmitted without symptoms but that comes from less than credible sources. There are lots of scare tactics being used.
It’s important that we start doing the things again that used to be "normal". Well, normal for us Muties, anyway. Not that I’m jealous.

As Nola says, each of us must do what seems true & best for his/her health & safety. I would add doing also what is best for those around us.
Our experience in this county shows that folks w/o symptoms are also carriers & spreaders. Science will speak truth & I believe the doctors & nurses. I may love every mutant to bits, but I don't love ya to death. We will get tested tomorrow.
I do hope y'all are safe & healthy. And stay that way! Y'heah?

Me and the misses have come up with a master plan to beat this silly covid border closings thingy. We know we cannot drive to Phoenix but we can fly. So our master plan is to win the $55 million in this weeks LottoMax and then we will fly to Phoenix and but the biggest Motorhome and Towed you have ever seen and then we can travel all over the states at will and then when we want we can fly back to Kanukistan and travel here in Duchess.

Sue, I agree with you exercising caution to your comfort level. Just one question - has it been long enough since your possible exposure for testing to be valid. I thought you needed to wait 5-7 days.
https://medical.mit.edu/covid-19-upd...ld-i-be-tested
I look forward to hearing that you passed, or is it failing the test if it comes out negative?

My apologies, Sue, I went online and read more about asymptomatic carriers. I have been functioning under a delusion lately. I must’ve dreamed that someone said that it had been proven false. I am now better informed and will be even more cautious.
The numbers in our county have dropped dramatically from 200-300 per day down to 10-30 per day. Over 50% of our cases are in young Hispanics and I really don’t know any. I guess it helps to be a hermit.

M. & I read & discussed the article you sent, Barb. Thanks for that.
We never discovered how long you have to wait before the test will be useful. I assumed it could be any time. We will ask when we get to the testing site. It would be easy enough, if tomorrow is too soon, to go back Thursday when we're in town for groceries anyway.
I'm glad to hear the case rate has dropped out there. It was really bad for quite a while, & I worried about you. Stay safe!
Cheers!

Some sweet mutant(s) sent me (vía Nola) a baggie full of "520 Give or Take a Few" pop tabs. Carol, maybe? I'm sorry, I forgot who. At any rate, thank you! These will make 5 beaded lanyards w/ a few tabs left over, at 99 per. Samples follow.
Thanks again & cheers!

Tried a new recipe yesterday evening.
Honey Bourbon Chicken Pops.
On the grill
On the plate
Turned out real good. Must have been the bourbon.

Well this weekend I was taking care of the Veterans again, walked in Saturday morning and the hallway behind the pharmacy was full of beds with patients.
Seems the VA hospital in Alexandria, LA took a big hit from Hurricaine Laura. Patients were sent out to other various facilities. Their nurses came with them. I was warned to keep my distance, one group was Covid patients .
Ha Wayne, did you see that picture of Martin on Facebook?
I do believe he might have caught that Covid-19. You know the symptom of gaining 19 lbs while social distancing.
