Compared to the crap and vitriol some of you are handing out, it was mild and wasn't aimed at offending anyone. So . . . . . . the environment that this old history teacher finds himself in is cause for my departure from this thread. I won't be bothering you any further.
I plan on leaving the cesspool called Facebook also.

You are forgiven your minor faux pax, oh master of lucidity. Please stick around and help me with MLump harassment. I agree with your assessment of FB and I refuse to read any of that cesspool contents.
The major problem with mentioning that upcoming event 2 months hence is that our overseers take offense, not us Muties. Please head to the RVM alternative communication arena and regale us with your wit and wisdom.

If you are looking for a travel destination where viral cases are really low, I would suggest Yuma county. Our numbers have been steadily dropping and today the dashboard shows only 5 new cases. There has yet to be a confirmed case in my zip code. I do believe the populous has figured out how to stay safe here.
Of course, I’d also suggest you wait about 6 weeks until the weather is more favorable.

The problem with going that way is that Earlene would want to keep going to the left coast and on up the highways. That's not a short trip!!

The left coast is far from safe right now. Between the virus and the protests there is way to much potential for you to get into trouble, Wayne.
This is the one time in my life that being a hermit has really paid off. Yes, I’m bored, but I imagine all you socialite types are climbing the walls. I don’t miss what I never did much of before 2020. But I’d LOVE to have a few Muties come visit. Most of my activities are now restricted by the heat. There wasn’t anyplace on my weekly trips into Yuma that wasn’t on the essential services list. Gosh! I really lead an exciting life.

Jeff,
My apologies to your daughter. I got distracted and didn’t express my condolences to her. Losing a loved one is like having your heart ripped out of your chest. I hope she finds comfort spending time with Mom and Dad for however long she can. I hope she can soon find peace with her loss.
Try treating her like she enjoyed when she young and still lived at home. Only Mom and Dad can bring that kind of love and support.

Barb,
Believe me, we know what that side of the world is like right now. Really not for us. Staying in Texas and gonna make sure where we might go is safe.

Thanks Barb I will pass your condolences on to her.
The whole thing is so up in the air and she cannot get answers because there was no marriage certificate, he passed in her home and of course she found him and he was already gone, it is tragic all the way around.

Jeff and Marcia,
Nola and I are sorry for your daughter’s loss, and also to you two!
It’s good that she can stay warm in your arms.
