Ok so we are taking the smaller camper down to deer camp, but it's a road trip!
Go west young man go west. Just remember to turn north at the ocean.

The hobby show I helped start is having their 40th one on the 17th& 18th. I'll be taking a car full of stuff including my old electric train and a few of my dad's old toys. Time for a lot of this to go if I can find a buyer.
Best of luck ... and good for you!

Interesting how our needs & wants change over time. My whole house is a storage bin, & I'm spending non-travel-time changing that.

Any trip counts! Go for it!

Our anniversary trip is this afternoon ... all the way to Homer Lake, about 15 miles away. It's a change of scene, a break in the routine, & a celebration.

I just read on a logging forum I watch that a big forest fire in Oregon has gone through the little hamlet of Idhana Oregon. From what I can tell it and another little town are gone. That is where we had a mutant gathering a few years ago. Sad news.

I emailed Laurie asking her to let us know they are ok. The fires this year are horrible! So sad that a piece of our Mutant history is gone.

Arenít you glad you arenít there! The smoke has cleared here in Dateland today. I would think it would be worse with strong wins
winds out of the Northwest. Yesterday it was really smoky here. The wind sure isnít helping the fire fighters.

Idanha is where we had the Eclipse GC in August 2017. I hope they are able to come back even better, but without trees it wonít be as nice for many years.

I also emailed Laurie.
Does anyone have details of damage at the campground?

"We have evacuated to our house outside of Sisters so we are good. Mom passed away a blood clot July8 but we had a beautiful service in okla. where she wanted to be buried with her parents. Thank you, LaurieJim
We talk about you all and love checking in quietly when I can. Been a crazy year."
