The big news yesterday was that the curly haired dimwit has extended the reopening possibility until November 1st.
So we are wending our way west back to Christina Lake and putting Duchess in winter drag and renting a place for the winter.

Why don’t you just “back” across the border and tell them you are leaving

It’s like a broken record here in Camp Verde: 90s/60s, 15%. But it’s fine by me!
And it’s hard to believe our first child broke past 50 yesterday, and the second will soon be 50!

So, how’s it all with you Muties?

Truly I was just thinking today how Wayne hasn't ragged me about anything lately. Tonight I was typing up some Safety Reminders to be mailed out to our campers this year. We had a camper burn to the frame last turkey season. We believed it to be an electrical issue.
Moose it was good to talk with you the other day. Bull you hit it on the head, never had a stand fall up. Duce I have luck I have t even used yet! Di stop sending these hurricanes this direction!
I'm tired, goodnight Griff Out!

Hey Griff, I’m sure your buttons popped off when GC not only caught the long ball, but did a long toss-out! Sweet memories for a bit later on.
And if Wayne hasn’t ragged on you lately, it’s always due to a plan being hatched!

I don’t do such chores anymore, Barb. I can’t get into the spaces where all the stuff is, AND get back out, and would probably break 2 more than what I fixed.
But, you, able Alice, can do it all.
Congrats

It’s quite the bummer to hafta stay north. But, hey, we have been mostly hiding and the rest of the time avoiding contact.

Earlene is doing fine. Lexi is now 11 months old. Unfortunately she is a "counter surfer." We are trying to break her of that but it doesn't seem to be working. As she walks by the kitchen counter you can see her head swivel, looking to see if there are any tidbits, or whole plates of food up there.
We have learned to push things back to the wall to try and avoid her reach. However, got a large pizza the other night. Three pieces were left in the box while I was eating (yes, I eat a lot of pizza when I have it.) This was a Village Pizza Special but at least I had the anchovies on the side. Box was back, lid was closed, we heard the rattle and I look. She had reach the box, opened the lid and devoured a slice before I could respond. When I scolded her she ran into the dining room. However, there was one 2 inch long by 1 inch wide tidbit she left behind so she dashed back and go that before I could get there.
She has gotten cookies, cake (chocolate) and I can't remember the other things. The chocolate cake made her hyper for a while but no other ills of concern.
Yep, they are doing fine.

I'm saving up! I did send him an email of Mary dancing the back-in jig. I dare him to post it here.

Red pepper on the edge of counter with food on it usually cures a counter surfer

Wayne, my neighbor, Rose has 3 small dogs thatshe has trained with water in a spray bottle. They’re to the point that all she has to do is reach toward the bottle and they quit.
Perhaps that might work with Lexi and once she hates that spray bottle you’ll only need to place it on the front edge of the counter when anything you don’t want her to touch is there.

Wayne, Barb has the perfect solution here!
Once Lexi is “bottle trained”, like you and other RVMs, the kitchen will be Lexi-proof!
