I don't think any of those solutions will stop Wayne from grabbing food off the counter

Perhaps that might work with Lexi and once she hates that spray bottle you’ll only need to place it on the front edge of the counter when anything you don’t want her to touch is there.
Wayne, if the water doesn't work try a solution of water & vinegar. I have a very bull headed boy and I now use pure vinegar, he hates to lick it off himself.

That might be worth a try.

Well, seeing as to how she enjoys the garden hose when it is sprayed I don't think a spray bottle will work.

Now for me, the bottle has to have Scotch and preferably Glenfiddich.

Ok Wayne, is she afraid of anything? Maybe a shrill whistle? I bought some canned air dog repellent but never had the heart to try it on Lily. It puts out a loud, sharp PPSSST sound.

Barb, Wayne is widely known for such sounds. Lexi is likely accustomed to that.

Nope! I'm the silent but deadly type person.

Are you kidding me. I put ghost pepper on most everything I eat. Go ahead and lace the food with a little red pepper.

We are sitting here waiting for Beta to make its appearance.

So, a pastime during storms is to take a ride on the Texas City Dike. Well, that is until they close it for safety purposes. For those who have visited us we have most likely taken you for a ride on the Dike. For those who have not, you can look it up on-line. It is 5 miles long, jutting out into Galveston Bay. It was designed to protect the shipping channel into the petrochemical plants in Texas City.

The magic words for Lexi, of course, is BYE BYE. Saying those words will get an immediate excitable puppy dog. So off we went to see the waves bashing against the Dike.

She said, "I have to have the window down so I can smell the rain!"

Do you really think a spray bottle of water would deter her from counter surfing?

Oh, BTW, when she was real young Earlene tried vinegar and water spray. She acted the same way as having a window down riding in the rain.

p.s., would anyone like to brush her for a couple of hours?

Yes, a drive on the dike was grand! Again again?

I don’t brush any critters anymore, but would very much enjoy watching YOU do it! Earlene, a cookie please!

Soooooo

Everybody is camping and eating too much?
Or something else?

I was told today that my Wrangler was nice but not as fun as a (what I call) Kiddie Kar.
I replied that I prefer air conditioning, not wearing a dust mask, and not making my lumbar angry.
They said I was old.
I said I was a Grup.
They looked at me like I had 3 heads.

And what were they?

Been getting back into my ‘’hobbies’’ lately.... finally have our underneath area so I can begin enjoying it.... pulled my kiln out and have done 2 separate firings of glass... practice.... have a new friend who enjoys that stuff as much as me....

Had a small water class class with 4 friends.... not charging for classes, because I get enjoyment from them... have another group coming soon of the 3 teens that help me do some stuff, 2 guys and 1 girl.... again fun stuff.

Larry is going to get back into tshirt transfer... he had a kiosk in a mall before we met... I am happy that is thinking in terms of future..... his new equipment is ordered....

We are enjoying where we are and this stage, have taken a few day trips in Di’s Delano.... fun and easy to drive (Mercedes Benz chassis) and is perfect for us...

We will try some nights nearby, or maybe even a trip to son in Arkansas, but that’s about all....

So while not camping, not eating too much, we are doing lots of something else..... smiling and loving....

Di, anything that looks like a tiny 4x4 with roll bars, makes noise, kicks up rocks and dust, never goes slower than 45 mph, and gathers in throngs.
They are similar to jet ski water toys, that will harass and circle any fishing boat on a small lake.
And also similar to snow mobiles.
But I don’t mind. There are places they are not allowed.

And you two kids are livin large and having grand fun. I love your stories! DONT STOP!

How’s about any other Muties?
The Dutcher’s are doing it up with Jenn. And the Lewis clan is bolder climbing.

We will have two sisters and family over for the weekend.

We went to Sam’s Club yesterday. Top that!
