Gee, are electric seaplanes almost silent, just like electric cars? My daughter’s house overlooks the seaplane takeoff and landing area on north end of Lake Washington. Those planes are really LOUD, especially the smaller ones. They'd be really annoying if they weren’t so cool to watch. Having them quiet would be wonderful.

There was a real buzz when the trials first started and then suddenly nada.
I wonder at how effective they turned out to be.

Between the engines and the props, yea, I'd expect noise. Cars are quite cuz they don't have propellers spinning
Look at drones, they're all electric and noisy as heck. Motors spin really fast creating noise and the props against the air make additional noise. I doubt any electric airplane will be as quiet as an electric car.
I see a lot of this stuff at that thing a lot of mutants no longer do and almost every commercial airplane is designed with our stuff.

Probably like electric cars - it takes a while to get it right and even then, the market is likely limited. Look how long it took Tesla to get to where they are. Plus since a lot of smaller companies are doing this, it may be funding issues or other factors that make or break their success.
But there is a lot of action in this market, so it's not "if" but "when"...there are plenty of contenders all around the world.

Humm, so propellers moving air makes noise, sounds like Wayne. But he's less propeller and more jet engine.

OK all you Muties in the Yuma area. There’s gonna be a potluck dinner at Dave & Carol‘s place in the Yuma foothills on Sunday. Come around one and we'll talk about those who aren’t there and eat about 2 PM.
I have dibs on bringing dessert. Pecan pie! That’s what we native Texans have on Turkey day instead of pumpkin pie. And for you non natives it’s pronounced "pea-Kahn" Pie. Some like to say it another way that makes it sound like a urine storage container. Pecans are the Texas State tree and a symbol of wealth.
If you can join us get ahold of me or Dave and Carol for more info. Oh and I hear Dave and Nola will be there!

Hey Barb, Dave and Carol. What a wonderful surprise, you Sick Twisted Mutants!
We won’t have bells on, but Nola will bring her Asia Salad!
It will be great fun, no doubt, especially talking about Muties that aren’t there.
We hope to see y’all
