Take care Wayne, hope you don't lose power, but thank God for our motorhomes (and a full tank of diesel).

Oh, yeah! It's always the backup plan here too.

Several inches of snow are forecast for tomorrow & outages are always a possibility. The in-house fireplace can only do sooo much, & then we would slog across to the MH in the (insulated) shed.

Best of luck, Wayne, & anyone else in this monster's path.

Currently 10° and tonight they are calling for low of 4°. Snowing like crazy and not expected to stop till noon. Another band coming Tuesday.

On the to do list for today. Check on live stock, dang water keeps freezing. Glad I made doors for my side by side this past year. May venture out about town in the side by side . Grands live a little to far to go and play in the snow with them. But who knows, we’ve done crazier things before!

Yep! As stated, brought it home for 50A. Set the thermostat to 60˚.

Our grass is white with green patches but the driveway and road are snow/ice combination. Looks like we can clean out the freezer and cook some of those vittles. Glad we have a gas stove and oven here in the house.

This morning's temperature.

8+ inches of snow is hard to drive around in even in a 4WD UTV. We did venture out to the store and gas station. More and more 4WD trucks getting out so we headed back home for warm soup!

Mardi Gras is tomorrow already! I know New Orleanians are decorating their homes instead of having parades. All my decs are in the rig, & I forgot to traipse out there to get them before this storm. So much for decorating ourselves or the house!

However, in England one of the traditions is Pancake Day. To help use up butter & lard before Lent you make what they call pancakes ... what we call crepes. Rezman's specialty!

So, take one crepe (fried in lard or butter), drizzle with lemon juice, sprinkle with sugar, roll it up cigar style or fold in quarters and eat. Repeat till the crepes run out.

My mouth is watering!

Happy Pancake Day, y'all!

That too. This link has a couple of pics, including a stack of American pancakes.

Ancient things generally have many names, don't they?

Like you & I do. [emoji8]

Looking south this morning at 10°:

First, ya gotta open the door!

The RV is in yonder shed, not too far a trek.... The snow dome beside the bay window there is actually a bird bath. South side has been in the lee.

East past the kitchen bay. Someplace over there by the rail is a small heated water dish for birds & other critters.

Personally, I enjoy snow. Most of the time. [emoji6] Today is one of those times.

YMMV!Click image for larger version

I tried something yesterday, our snow is like powder, so I got the backpack leaf blower out and cleared off my truck and back deck. Worked pretty good.

I dread next week when we start the thaw and re freezing cycles. And the mud that goes with it. Sunday will be in the 50’s.

It was 21˚ here this morning, and 19˚ when I departed for the warm covers. Today it is supposed to get to 38˚. Thursday will bring another 30˚ early morning temp and then we start heading into the mid to high 60's and starting around the 22nd of Feb. we will be in the 70˚

Yippee! We will have had our 2 weeks of Winter!
