My Father’s day gift - a new passenger for the Journey

Four month old “Illusions Islay of Caledonia” (Callee for short) - a special Sheltie pup with a lot of potential, not the least of which will be a great traveling companion. She immediately bonded with the Shepherds and is perfectly comfortable in the coach. This was entirely unplanned but that goes along nicely with our travel style.

We passed another thousand mark in our posting. I guess it’s become old hat cause none of you seem to have noticed that Wayne posted #89K.

Rich, I hope your new puppy is better behaved than mine. Of course, there's a big difference in maturity between 10 weeks and 4 months.

Bebe and Lily rode with me to the trash transfer station this morning. It is about 12 miles round trip and the AC in the pickup isn’t working. She complained loudly for the entire 2 minutes I was out of the truck tossing trash.... then continued to howl all the way home. She hates this heat and lets everyone know about it. Thankfully she has been sleeping since we got back inside with the swamp cooler making the temperature tolerable. I think the damp towels I laid over her and Lily help keep them cooler.

Isn't Callee just a little beauty! New kid on the block, hey?

Heck with Lexi ... *I* wanna play! (Sorry, Wayne & Earlene.)

Now on the lower mainland for quite a while as we are on the move east. Presently at Tukkwiowhum RV Campground. It was quite the expedition getting in here as we had to pass under the CNR (??) main line and from our coach we can see the trains as they pass about 200 feet away. The washroom / shower building is the cleanest I have ever seen at any campground. I think we maxed out the site at 40' as there are some tight corners in here even for us. I will post pictures when I get a chance to take some. Will be here for two maybe three days.

Boston Bar may I guess? I worked(pardon the foul language) around that area for years. There are alot of trains there both sides of the river!

You guessed er Chester. One has to drive the coach under a low clearance Railroad underpass (west bound trains) to get into the camping loop we are in and an easy stroll to site 38 gets you views of the west side of the Fraser River where all the east bound traffic goes. Trains going by headed west are both CN and CP and on the other side of the river both railroads hauling loads. We plan on ending up in Christina Lake and were hoping to get in a lunch or evening meal date with you two. Will call when we are closer.
