Barb use that bucket on that new backhoe! If they don’t fit inside the bucket tie some straps around them then lower in the hole. We’ve pulled a motor out of a International Scout using a backhoe. And put the new motor back in!

Barb (& others), have you read Nomadland? I have it as an ebook. It's much better than the movie because it is more clearly investigative journalism about a segment of the fulltimer population. The throughline story is Linda's & her dream of a place similar to yours. I believe you & Linda would have a lot to talk about!

I thought the book a worthwhile read. Quartzite gets a lot of attention, as do workamping, stealth camping, & the Amazon Camperforce experience.

Cheers, & happy digging!

Lexi is going to have fun, but teaching her not to "speak," is a difficult task. We'r working on it.

Unfortunately the backhoe hasn’t shipped yet and they said it would take 20-30 days, maybe longer due to the excuse every company is using right now. I was actually very lucky to get these batteries. It seems there are all sorts of material shortages right now ... same excuse! My friend Handy Bob introduced me to the regional sales manager for Crown batteries. The chances are good that my batteries haven’t left the factory yet. They’ll be fresh, for sure!

Lucky for me the are going downhill instead of up. A slide might actually work. I can tie them to Ranger and slowly lower them down. All I know is it will be great fun.

Sue, thanks for telling me about Nomadland! I'll check into it.

Di, if you're reading: With your permission, I'll make up your recipe for antipasto dip relish for the Shipshewana crowd. It won't make up for your being there, but you can bet your name will come up!

While I'm asking, your recipe calls for Lawry's seasoning sauce. This really is a sauce, & not the seasoned salt?

We sure will miss you & Larry. I'm still hoping we can trek down your way this winter. Some of that depends, now, on M's health. We're still working on getting answers.

Cheers & good health!

Around 9 a.m. I took Lexi out for a walk. Looked at the thermometer before going out and grabbed a jacket. It was 61˚. No breeze so it was very comfortable even with the jacket off. Y'all and Kevan come early. You site is empty.
