Well I was waiting on Kevin to jump in like the rest of you but guess he’s napping.
So had contractor and one of his helpers come by and moved everything heavy back into office, and set up breakfast area, and dinning room back as was, the living room semi back to normal and he emptied the extra furniture out of hour bedroom. He said I guess you should be able to sleep in your own bed tonight.
About 1 hour later the painter shows up. He was unhappy with his job and decided it needed sprayed again. Oil base, smells toxic, contractor looked at me and said maybe a couple more nights in camper!

Feel lucky, I wished I had only a couple more days to go...I don't think so when the living room (and others) looks like this...

with the boots inside or outside? just be glad it is only the boots and paint, and not Wayne's natural gas.

LOL, that's actually aluminum pex, so no copper involved. I doubt I could even afford that much copper!!!

I’m always learning something on the side. I never knew there was a product known as aluminum pex. So I had to go look it up. Carl, are you putting in a radiant floor?
Now to figure out the Moose's comment about Roman stables. Y’all keep me busy.

Yes, the old radiant system failed (it was over 50 years old) and the black pipe used back then rusted out due to improper installation and possible freezing.
So the cure is to put a new radiant system on top of the existing slab, raising the floors by 1 inch due to the aluminum pex and 1/4" of luan placed on top of that. It works in my house due to the higher ceilings so all is good.
The new furnace showed up last week and a triple layer stainless steel chimney is being installed since the older setup was a joke (there was an exhaust pipe crossing a hallway to get to the brick chimney).
In the end, the new system will be more efficient, have a lot more zones (10) and hopefully this winter, walking on the floors without shoes will be a pleasant experience again

For proof talk to Mrs Moose. She's been at it for neigh on 20 years and she is still as perplexed as when we first met.
