My favorite take-away from Shipwreck was sitting across from Tim at the buffet, him with a dinner-plate size full of puddings and such for dessert and then he says

All this was stuck to the spoon and I had to take what was there. And the look the lady next in line gave me when I licked the spoon!

The way I hear it the judgement was 10 days with 5 days off with good behavior. Itís going on 2 years now, he seems to have trouble with that Good Behavior part!

I got a text from Earlene asking me to update yíall on my recent surgery. Itís been a week now and I am much less sore. Iím still not supposed to twist or lift more than 10 pounds which is really hard for me to remember.

The device has not yet been turned on. Because I am more active than most people with back pain, I got the implant with paddles that are stitched into place. In order to do that the doctor had to remove some bone from my spine. Thatís what is needing to heal before they turn it on.

Three more weeks of waiting is driving me crazy. I canít work on the house and Iím not real good at thumb twiddling. Hopefully the weather will be cooling off about the time I get to go back to work.

Thanks for the update, Barb. I hadn't realized your nifty new gadget had not been activated yet & thought you must be already getting some relief. I'm sorry you aren't.

Dang, what a drag having to wait for the healing! I know you're just itching to get out there on your new digger, playing in the dirt!

Some of us are better than others at thumb-twiddling. Me, I'm world class! Hang in there, you'll master it if you really buckle down & put in the practice. What is it ... 1,000 hours to get proficient?

Ommms!

So Chubby Checker and Charles Atlas are not high on your list of activities as fun

Being I have had a couple of disc fusions I do not envy your recovery pain.

Knowing you as well as I do I know the 'driving' part is more likely just a very very short putt.

Keep up the recuperation and just know that Denise and I are looking forward to again working on Connie with you.
