Guess they know a sucker when they see one!

Yep $7something I would have paid more cause I was running behind. That was when we left Shipwreck and got delayed just down the road due to a buggy/car accident and the heavy fog, then of course Indianapolis traffic.

Nope! In Durant, OK. Leave tomorrow for Waco, TX area and will be at I-35 RV park in Elm Mott. Staying there 7 days and visiting oldest GD who is attending Baylor.

Cool front came through this morning. Right now it is 78˚ and windy with 30% humidity.

Here is Bucky doing his job. That's the last of 6 new solar batteries that will be placed in a below ground vault beside Connie. Each battery weighs 128#. This morning he took them off the shipping pallet and set them in front of the vault. Tomorrow morning I’ll reposition him and lower them down. Arizona summers are murder on lead acid batteries but being 5 feet down with an insulated roof should help them stay cooler.

Barb, if you do a search of youtube for Bucky (his actual hf model/name) there are a whole lot of videos about improvements/mods to make Bucky much much more easy to use and more useful.

Hey Barb, just what you need; projects 11238 though 11450 on your short term to do list...

Forgot which numbers they would be on your long term, short list

Bucky kinda reminds me ago a long ago indiscretion in a country bar back east years ago.

Barb, assume you're venting the lid to allow some air circulation unless they are completely sealed units. Don't want any gasses accumulating down in the pit. Yeah, I know, it would be heated air.
Wonder if you could use a small fan with a solar cell so it would run part of the day?

Thought I would chime in on the renovation conversation. We are completely changing out the master bath (tiled shower, granite counters, wood floor, faucets and shower heads, and new paint job). We deconstructing and
restructuring the dining room & kitchen (removing non-load bearing posts, plant ledges, and shelf over the island, granite counters, new farmer's sink and new paint). New appliances next year. Guest bath gets granite counter, new sink, new paint, and wood floor. New window treatments in 4 rooms. New paint in every room.

We will be in Florida for most of the contractors' work and our home designer will supervise when needed. We will return home in April and have "the reveal" like they do on TV.

Decisions, decisions, decisions. geeeezzzz New lamps, ceiling lights and swags, vases, throw rugs, furniture arrangements, paint colors, etc., etc., etc.

Hi Dave!

I have some 12 volt DC fans. One of them will be installed in the pit roof and connected to the batteries.

I'm pleased to tell yíall that as of 7:45 am MST today all 6 batteries were in the pit. Now the real fun begins - reconnecting everything. Bucky was a big help with those heavy mothers.

Oh, and Dennis, I've watched many of those HF videos. What was lacking was adding electric start to it. Luckily, Dateland's Mr Fix-it Matt, got it working for me. What a HUGE difference that makes for me. Just turn the key and he starts!!!
