We will be in Florida for most of the contractors' work and our home designer will supervise when needed. We will return home in April and have "the reveal" like they do on TV.

I want to know what lottery you hit!!

This past Monday I wrote the final check to our remodel contractor. This was for the remodel that was initially suppose to have been completed BEFORE we left for the Shipwreck GC. This all started April 27 and has been an nightmare with our things being moved from room to room and only half covered from dust, Sheetrock mud and paint. Luckily we had the MH to stay in. Best of luck for a smooth remodel and coming home to a finished home will be nice!

Ash Hollow State Historical Park, Lewellen, Nebraska.

Ash Hollow, a critical point in the Oregon/California Trail, has amazing history all around the area.
The disease deaths and triumphs of the pioneers here made for the future of America.

I recommend seeing it all, so the story’s can fill the memories for all.

We are looking forward to seeing the updated version of our home. We've never lived in one house this long before. Homes in our area are selling well so we feel that our investment will see some return when the home is sold. Hopefully about 12 - 15 years from now. LOL

The plumber suggested we select a different brand of kitchen faucet, telling us that in 12 to 15 years he didn’t think the manufacture would continue parts for the one we selected. Our reply was that in 15 years it most likely will be someone else’s problem! Don’t see me keeping up all these acres for ever.

I only “friend” my real FB friends. Some won’t FB “friend” me.

Please don’t look at my FB wall. It’s entirely too honest for you.

My FB “friends” exchange good stuff with me.

Safety a sad thing for us nomads.

There was a time when most of us would be concerned to a tiny degree with our safety when we ventured across the southern border what with stories of the Frito bandito and such! Though I must tell you that yes have wondered far and wide south of the border and north of the border without given safety much concern and the same for within the border. But times have changed a bunch. Today I shudder at the stories I read of nomads being accosted and abused and dispatched not just south of the border but right here within our borders. The last few events have put me over the edge.

Yesterday with great sorrow in my heart I ordered a Spot-X and will start the plan when I get the gizmo. It reports your position every n minutes to your concerned ones.... Yes it can be destroyed but then that would set off a concern right away eliminating delay of days and weeks.

It irks me, burns me, saddens me that humanity has degraded to such a stage that mutual respect for human life is eroding and fast. There are cell phone trackers but they only work where there is cell phone service. This gizmo works when there is a view of the sky. Slowly under canopy of leaves or super heavy clouds, but if you set up expectations with those concerned, it should work well.

On bended knees I say a prayer that we may all return to the higher ground, of morals, values, ethics and common decency. Share the caring and love of humanity and set great great examples for US and the world to follow.

Ken, so right. For years and years I have just wondered why people cannot get along regardless of race, religion or any other aspect of life.

Wayne, I recall you are on your way to TX. It is an open carry of firearms state. No license, no training needed!

Can you imagine doing your grocery shopping while some folks open carry and strut around. Heaven help if two of them bump carts or reach for the same item, the last one on the shelf! Carry is aok at the bar not a problem.

Cray cray if you ask me but no one did!

I can open carry or concealed carry in many states. I have an LTC. Prior to the no licensing LTC could carry open or concealed. In the several years of open carry never say anyone other than LEO's openly carrying.

Might be different now with people wanting to impress people and it could be a problem.
