I love the name! It’s a tribute to our past and great fun. George would be proud, but disappointed it took so long and costs so much.

Just think of how easy it will be to watch Dwayne and Shara and their antics with jeeps on rock trails.

That would be fun! I wonder if I could borrow one. Ok, maybe rent one. $500 for a 20 minute ride?

Mary Ann and I made it to our Florida digs late this afternoon. Traffic was heavy and a wreck delayed us for an hour and twenty minutes on I-75 east of the Villages. We set the car's speed at 76-77 mph. For each car we passed, 3 or 4 would pass us.

We're looking forward to a nice long stay (til early April) and invite our mutant friends to visit. There's usually a open lot or 3 to abide on or we have a sleep number sofa bed in the living room. Come on down to see us.

Good deal, glad you guys made it safely.

Today I went to start the RV as I have a last-minute service appointment tomorrow. Wouldn't you know it - starter batteries are dead...so I head off to the shop in the car and pick up two starter batteries. Replaced the dead ones and like magic, it started right up so I'm good to go (and one less thing for them to fix at their rates!!!).

If all goes well, I'll be there Monday, so will likely catch up with you guys sometime next week as I'm off the whole week.

Can you see who's getting ready for August in Maine? How's this for forward planning?

Please pass the buttah!

You make that lobster look good. Now getting Martin in one might be a little more difficult!

That lobster makes me look 100% better!

Maybe I'll go dressed as a block of buttah. Ya think?

Carl, I used to have dead battery issues on my Motorhome until, at Dwayne's suggestion I added a $10 battery cut off switch. It seems that parasitic draw on my starter battery killed it after 4-5 days. I can now go 4-5 months and have it start on the first try. Yes, I know I should be starting it monthly, but …

Of course the price has gone up in the last 6 years.

I think it was my own fault. I have one of those devices that plug into the OBDII port and I didn't take it out after my last trip. I suspect it just drained the batteries for me.

But I also remembered that on my last trip, at some rest area, I went to start the RV and things didn't go as usual. Now that I ran into what I ran into, I suspect the batteries were already starting to run down and this last thing just did them in.

The older ones are a number of years old, I don't remember replacing them myself but if I did, probably after I first got the RV, so the older ones were 4 or so years old.

I'd rather have something I can trust as opposed to something that may go at the worse time possible. It was too easy to replace as well, four nice post nuts and a little heavy lifting and I was done in probably 20 minutes or less.
