Well.....how's this for ya....
Tooling down the road in the coach heading south, reached the home of Superman, Metropolis ILL. Just leaving Metropolis I changed lanes from hammer lane back to the right and a very strong jolt of wind hit the driverside. I thought woah, glad I had a good hold on the wheel, and, there's something going on round here! A mile or so down the road was a rest area. I ducked in there and we got nestled into a cozy spot with the big trucks.....just had a feeling it was the right thing to do.
Dialed up the local TV stations and the weather guys were on, and then all hell broke loose north and south of us.....especially south.
This was last Saturday night, and less than 35 miles south of our rest area location is/was Mayfield KY. If we'd have kept going we would have drove right into it, and probably not driven out.
I guess I still have some luck left after all.

There are a few RVMs are not on FB, PappaBull!!!
It is not a requirement to join FB. But it is pretty nifty to gather what is on show on the FB RVM forum.
Better stay away from RVM FB.
Wayne knows to not choose FB. (Too much valuable info)

When one is stuck and must stick around a bit, it makes sense to enjoy where you are stuck....
Entrance Driveway
Right side of driveway
Every light display requires a Moose or Two
And then the snow started....

Man, the luck o' the Mutants was with ye! Following your gut instinct & pulling off was one of the best ideas of your life.
So glad y'all are safe!
Cheers!

Much to enjoy, by the look of it! Fun pics!
Now I know y'all are Canucks & all, but what is normal to all y'all is a dirty word to some mutants in the great southland. It's a lovely picture of the falling flakes, but really! To call it the full word??? You know better!
Frankly, I've missed the white stuff while we've been going (further) south. I've been buying boots & closed toe shoes for the first time in donkey's years. Nothing in my closet but sandals (Earlene!) and tennies.
Might be I could make another snow angel this year. Might need help getting up, though!
Cheers!

Deuce there’s a story that Mark Lowery tells about being on his house boat when a tornado blows away much of the dock. He describes the sounds the wind and the storm in great detail adding how frightening it all was.
When it’s all over he’s talking with a neighbor and learns this has happened before. His final line was “Well I would have enjoyed it all a lot more had I known I was going to live through it!”

It's not strange when you make the right decision and you really know you did a good job of it. Glad you stayed safe.

An Old Memory: December 14, 2014
“On a fulltime travel life....
We dreamed of going fulltime for decades and are into our 3rd year.
Our blog has 62 entries about just the highlights so far, but is over 20 entries behind because of being so busy!
Both of us have health issues, but plod on from one exciting Journey to another with great joy! This joy reaches far beyond the confines of a sedentary life, even it it means devices and gizmos to get us out and about.
We will travel until we cannot or change our minds, and then rent so we can MOVE. Saddling up to the responsibilities of a house, financially and physically, is simply too taxing to contemplate in the late stage of life.
Letting things happen in a mostly random fashion while never having a regret has worked well for us. If we had approached this life planning for all possible contingencies, it would have never begun. And we know many that have "what iffed" until the boat left without them.
We discovered many years before retirement that the best plan is most often NO PLAN. Doing so in a fearless and haphazard manner provides greater joy, in our opinion.
That's about it for now.
Happy Trails!”
