Can I guess Idanha gathering and Crater Lake?

Man, it took me half a hour to get ketchupped here! Remind me to stop taking sabbaticals!

Off topic as usual, cuz I'm late to the party, here are a couple pics of the icicles grown from the roof gutters. At least 3' long, we reckon. They were here yesterday & gone today. Temps got up into the low 40s w/ sunshine.

Both pics were taken through the screened windows, so the westerly one is throwing its shadow on the screen. Click image for larger version

I'd do something about those gutters, it shouldn't build up like that (cold or not).

Carl, when you get snow melt from bright sunshine ( 75kwh from our array yesterday) and 15 deg. giving you frozen gutters, you're going to get icicles.

I know enough that those icicles are tearing apart and rotting the wood like it did to my sisters house. They have material nowadays for the first 2 or 3 feet of roofing near the edge (goes under the roofing shingles) to prevent that ice buildup and allow everything to melt into the gutters. Just saying, pay now or pay later

Tim, my icicles were hanging just fine. Didn't even melt.

Oh wait, I don't have icicles on the Gulf Coast.
