Last I talked with Ed there was no plans. Remember he still w**ks and has little time. Thankfully two mutants have spoke up, thanks Dave and Carl we look forward to the shenanigans!

An “S” begins his talk. That’s frightening.

it took me a lot of effort to arrange those dates for you

anyone know how to clean "POOP" off my computer?

We are home safe…

Our 10 day trip was a very safe one…. Larry and I enjoyed our very first trip in our over a year old Thor Delano, so much that he is now looking for a slightly bigger one…. This Murphy bed concept was a good thing in theory, but not for a quick rest….

Trip was so successful that he wants to do more here in Florida… neither of us liked the cold weather up there. We will never go far, but each day is a new journey…..

Got back on Thursday and did a quick cleanup/turn around on the rv… as son Bryan and his wife took it on a test weekend on Friday….. they are planning on taking it on a trip in June… to Arkansas, then Niagara Falls, then to BAR HARBOUR……. And son has to fly back to FL the end of June for work,so I am tentatively planning on flying up to Maine and driving back down with his wife and their 3 kids…..

So, Carl will need your routing to get past NYC….

Papa Steve, love the remodel, and yes I spotted those watercolors….

Today I test drove a 2022 Thor Quantum 31ws…..
gas on a Ford 450….. easy as pie to drive….
It has a bit more room, without being HUGE. And it should be a pretty even trade with our diesel…..

Stay tuned….

Such a relief that Larry did well. We split the driving each day, and did it with 2 overnight stops…. Slow roll……. But I was nervous the entire trip…. Guess I always will be…

Not sure if it was on this thread or TOT, but it doesn’t matter, the same 4 or 5 people read them both.

Update on the Discovery issues, you might remember on my return trip from TX the dash air stopped working. Then after making an appointment to get it fixed I discovered the air tanks wouldn’t air up and sense a Wreaker pulling my MH can’t navigate my driveway I was stuck. The shop I was going to belongs to a friend of mine but his two sons run it. I knew the younger son fairly well, he was part of our youth group back in the day. Short average build kid. His older brother was the one who really called the shots but I for one reason or another had never meet him.

I called the shop and just by chance the older brother answered. I told him of my issues and that the MH was in a dry building with a concrete floor and if they could come to my house maybe they could at least fix the air tanks here at my house. Then I said something I knew I shouldn’t have said. I’ve got 2 weeks before I leave!

Yep you guessed it, For a full week I got excuses and no show! Now I knew the Daddy and Mom and little brother and they are good people so I figured the older brother was as well. There had to be good reasons. But come Friday I made the decision to pay the business a visit. I wanted to talk to this older brother eye to eye. You know, set him on the right path! At their office I’m greeted by older brother’s wife, once I told her my name she smiled real big and was so friendly. I told her I wanted to speak with her husband. Sure I’ll get him!

Now I’m preparing myself for what ever it takes to straighten this little fellow out! Then the door from the shop opened and there he was. Yep, nothing at all like little brother. I may be wrong but I think he stooped to get through the door. He looked like he normally lifted complete engines out of trucks by hand. At that point I quickly shifted to plan B!

Plan B- beg him to fix my MH next week!
He immediately apologized for taking so long but he was attempting to clear a spot inside his shop so it wouldn’t be outside. His shop was full of fire trucks, electric power line trucks, 18 wheelers and National Guard vehicles. You might say he was busy. But he said if your going back home right now I’ll be over in 30 minutes. He was there in 15 and located the air tank problem within 10 minutes and said he would have a clear spot Tuesday morning or maybe Monday afternoon. I knew he had to be a great guy, he’s certainly his dads son!

Good news on the trip. There are *so* many places to visit here in Florida, especially with a smaller RV...good luck, take advantage of it all year round.

NEVER EVER take any RV through NYC...you will be extremely lucky for it not to be damaged with the crap roads there. It's always best to route completely around the city, as much as possible.

I'll be glad to advise when the time comes...I made the mistake *once* of going through NYC (in the RV), never again.

I go a number of routes, mainly just to mix things up. When I'm doing my straight through run in the car, it's 95 all the way, but in the RV, I'm in relaxation mode so I don't care how long the trip takes. Of course there are times I need to make miles, but generally I try to be more relaxed in the RV travels.

Like this weekend, I'm heading back up north. Leaving Saturday and probably won't be home till Monday, so two nights in the RV. Haven't mapped out which way I'm heading once I get up into SC/NC, but I'll figure that out before Saturday.

I also plan on live streaming the entire trip, I'll post a link when I start the stream...
