It sometimes hurts when you are taxed to death to pay for everyone else's problems. In Canada we pay huge taxes to offset the amount governments spend to pay for our FREE Health care. Diesel in Christina Lake this time round is https://www.gasbuddy.com/gasprices/b...christina-lake and just over a year ago it was .99˘ a litter. or $3.74 a gallon

R U an RV Mutant too?
Well, Nola and me will do Bah Hawbah about 600 miles each way, and later Jacksonville FL about 800, and we did about 2500 so far from Tucson!!!
And PA costs the same for diesel as it does in Baw Hawbaw.
And we have fun, and we ONLY COOK AT HOME!!

Fuel expense drastically drops when you get to Sick to travel or die.
Spend it while you can !

About 700 miles more and you would have matched what it would be for us to go, or abut $550 more, or a total of around $2200. We will miss our friends but there is no need for the RVM's to make every gathering, only those they feel they can.
Our driveway is always open for a week and money can be saved plus our GREAT company. When home we eat at home a lot. We have been in San Antonio for the past 10 days and 7 of those days have been 100˚ and high humidity. Needless to say, we ate out a lot.
We do wish everyone a very nice time in Bah Harbah.

R U an RV Mutant too?
One more time…..
2500 miles back to PA from AZ.
The price was $5.50 per gallon. But it was really only $2.50 more per gallon!
Not such a big increase!!
And the miles for Baw Hawbaw would be same as Shipshewana, and for both ways.
Now, Shipshewana will be normal, with many buffet $$.
And lobster (etal) can be bought at a market vs a dinner $$.
So, I see Shipshewana fun by some, and Bawh Hawbah fun some for others.
But, we haven’t been to Bawh Hawbah since 2017.
Maybe we can party by radio between it all!!!!

Yep, fun is where you are or where you are going, or both,
Just for information, when Ed first announced the Bar Harbor shindig Earlene and I decided that very time that we would not be going. I grew up in NE and we have been back to MA, NH, and ME in RV's.
I may have portrayed our not going as a mater of cost and that is definitely not a factor. The miles to get there and back IS one consideration. No young chicken here anymore although we do know to stop and smell the flowers for a few days.
So, where anyone goes in their travels we wish you all the fun and happiness that you can put up with. We just need to sit this one out.
Happy trails to all.

Ok, so I was looking up in my handy encyclopedia and determined that Shipshewanna means Old Retirement Home for RVers and Marines! So now I understand.
Next issue.
Which will irritate you more,
Those at Bah Harbah talking about you and laughing
OR
Those at Bah Harbah not mentioning you to each other at all?
Asking for a friend .

We made our first little jaunt for the summer this weekend. 3 hr drive to a friends place for a Pig Roast. We motel'ed it for a night. Just not the same. A good time was had by all except for the pig.

Dang, I just knew my previous post would go down in Mutant Archives as the post that left Sir Cumferance speechless. Oh well todays another day, and maybe another attempt.
That Garth comeback deserves extra points!
BTY, it’s 6 am and my bride and I are headed out to run the lines before the flood gets here. Richard was offered the chance to run the lines with me but didn’t want to take the joy from my sidekick. I would take a picture of the joy she is feeling right now but I’m afraid it might break the camera!

It's not the camera you should be worried about. After I tell her what you say about her when she is not around you will need a very strong helmet to wear!
